Coventry 99 % Certain To Be In Elite Next Season Acording To Sandu

Recommended Posts

If the BSPA have buckled then that body is pathetic.

Do you mean that until now you thought that it was an honorable and noble institution. Oh dear, that's like finding out Santa doesn't exist.

Well they have just repeated the news on the main news at 2pm,so unless their information is wrong, which I very much doubt, then yes they are BACK.

Good news, would have been a shame to lose one of the longest-serving, with Belle Vue, members of British Speedway. Pity the old cockney teams from the first National League in 1932 with Cov and BV, such as Wembley, Wimbledon, West Ham, Crystal Palace, Stamford Bridge, Clapton/Lea Bridge etc., cant make a comeback. London dominated speedway throughout the 40s, 50s, early 60s. Wembley 7 times champions, Wimbledon 6, New Cross once, the title ending up outside the capital once, in Swindon 1957. :approve: Have had some good battles with Swindon over the years home and away. Good stadium, track, supporters, some good banter with the Bees fans in the past. And hopefully Swindon geezer Rosco will still be in work. With Reading and Oxford still defunct brandon probably our local derby, together with Poole, both about 70 miles away, and some good west Midland derbies with Brum and Wolves to look forward to. :approve:

No, we currently live under a coalition government formed by two parties who came together after an inconclusive election, traded horses and formed a government. As of yet, none of the other parties have engaged legal counsel to decry this undemocratic process in the way that Messrs Sandhu and Frost have regarding the BSPA.

If the latest reports are true then I consider it a disgrace that Coventry are being allowed back into the EL and the only hope can be that it is as the result of a humiliating climb-down from Brandon. If the BSPA have buckled then that body is pathetic.

Is it safe to assume you are unhappy with the latest news?

If true (and great news if it is) there's a few fools on here who'll be gutted.

A lot of the 'fools', as you call them, were never in favour of excluding Coventry from the EL, as many posts said if you took the time to read them.

Certainly the many posters on here giving the verbals on behalf of Sandhu, will never be forgotten for their efforts. :approve:

And this post nicely sums up the fact that many supporters mistakenly think that the BSPA is entirely democratic and that all decisions are made in an entirely fair manner.

It either is or it isn't? Is the BSPA constituted to make decisions on a democratic basis e.g. one member one vote with a simple majority carrying the decision? If it is constituted in this way then it is democratic and all the tea in China will not change that fact. Unless of course you know a different sort of maybe not entirely type of democracy that isn't defined as democracy except on forums such as this?

Stupid I may well be, but not that stupid. I always knew the BSPA was a useless organisation, but if Coventry come back it is shameful stuff from the BSPA and if there is any compromise of rules to accommodate Coventry the BSPA will have hit an all-time low. Indeed, one can't imagine it getting any lower.

Hopefully other promotions would take up the legal baton that would've proved so effective for Sandhu.

Correct.

Nothing is resolved and the EL limps onwards towards the next Sandhu-inspired crash.

Before people start bitching, why don't we wait for confirmation of Coventrys acceptance to the EL and find out what changes (if any) have been made. Only then can people start laughing at some of the claims people have made (though most grown ups would move on).

What do you mean Santa doesn't exist......

Glad Coventry are back but a bit worried that the BSPA have completely given in to them which i hope hasn't happened.

Believe me, I read them.

They have barely disguised their glee at the thought of Coventry not being present in 2011.

We won't know if any 'changes' have been made because we weren't officially informed of any rule changes in the first place.
