STARS BOSS BECOMES CO-PROMOTER

The King’s Lynn ‘Roger Warnes Transport’ Stars are delighted to announce that team manager Rob Lyon has become a co-promoter of the club.

Lyon has been a part of the Stars set-up for the past 10 years in various roles, most notably team manager since 2005. The experienced Englishman has guided the Stars to league glory on two occasions - both were treble winning seasons.

Lyon joins the current promoters Keith (Buster) & Jonathan Chapman in charge of the club as they look to build a successful future at the Norfolk Arena.

Buster said: “I’m pleased for Rob, he has been a big part of the club since he joined all those years ago. To have him as co-promoter will ease the day to day running a little bit and I think we will all benefit.”

On his appointment, Lyon said: "Buster had spoken to me about the possibility of becoming involved on the promotional side to ease the burden of the day to day running of the club.

“I was happy to accept, and I hope I can have a positive influence on not only Kings Lynn, but also speedway in general, as it is a difficult time in the sport for all concerned as we all know at the moment.

“Buster and I work well together and know how each other thinks so I'm sure it will work well between us. This season has been pretty hectic and stressful at times for us with all the dreadful injuries our riders have experienced, but we are looking for a positive response from the team in the second half of the season to push for an all-important playoff position, and I look forward to the challenges that lay ahead."

Get Lebdev some equipment and he will score 15+ from reserve position.

Watch him in the SWC on Saturday... He's better than Doyle,Watt and Batchelor.

Well we started the season with 3 heat leaders (NKI/MK/RS) with the possibility that a 4th could emerge (SS)

Currently we only have one doing that job, the other 2 are second-strings at best, and the 4th is out for the season.

I see no hope.

I still feel this season has got a bit left in it for us Stars fans. Ok, we might not make the play offs but I think the 2 latest signings will give some value for money as they get to GRIPS with Saddlebow.

I saw in yesterday's EDP that Rob Lyon is now Co Promotor at Kings Lynn. Is JC still involved as not seen him around the place lately ?

Did see that he was beaten by both Doyle and Batch today, he did beat Watt but so did everybody, not to say he will not become a good reserve.
