Paulco 7,080 Posted August 31, 2013 So here we have it . Two years ago our respective promotions were hurling insults at each other as the two Tigers were vying for the title . Now we are the worst two teams in the league , though we have managed to secure the wooden spoon , and by some distance . Guests will be to the fore with Theo Pijper , getting respite from his exile in the eastern front , coming in for Joe Screen for the home diddies . And Son of God being the inspired choice to replace Simon Stead for the away diddies . Kevin Doolan was meant to guest for the unfortunate Adam Roynon , but he's injured as well - so it's anybodies guess who'll step in there . Sheffield have r/r for their latest foreign Sunday meeting dodger . Teams for the basement battle might be Bottom diddy team 1 Theo Pijper 2 Anders Thomsen 3 Henning Bager 4 James Grieves 5 Dakota North 6 Joe Jacobs 7 Joey Ringwood 2nd bottom diddy team 1 Richard Lawson 2 Andre Compton 3 Ricky Wells 4 r/r 5 Kevin Doolan or somebody else 6 Simon Lambert 7 Facundo Albin Can we end our near 4 month wait for a win , will it be dry as it never is when Sheffield come calling , will Anders' bikes go faster than the average lawn mower .............all this and more will be answered in 24 hours .
MD 1,307 Posted August 31, 2013 Doolan being injured could save us from another hiding. Lawson and Wells are thoroughly decent at Ashfield and Compton looks to have picked up since he joined Sheffield. Thankfully Lambert isn't decent and Albin will be a bit if a mystery. Whether we can win the reserve points though remains to be seen. Glasgow are still far too sh!te and inconsistent, and can only see another away win.
spin king 1,923 Posted August 31, 2013 The line not quite correct. (4) Danny Maassen (5) Rider Replacement. . I would be happy to see us picking up a point for this
graz gp 184 Posted August 31, 2013 It's all very depressing. I think I will get my coat.
Weeyin 1,022 Posted September 1, 2013 Going to be another tough meeting...Sheffield much stronger with guests...Richie Lawson and Aaron Summers as guests both ride Ashfield well and Ricky Wells and Andre Compton can also do us some damage... For the REAL Tigers , Theo Pijper should be okay, Hopefully James will repeat last weeks performance and Dakota wont get excluded!! We need Anders Thomsen to perform like he did at his first Ashfield meeting, all in all it is a hard one to predict, but I live in hope that Glasgow can finally get a win ......Pleeeeeeeeease !!!!!

Paulco 7,080 Posted September 1, 2013 I think the Glasgow fans will see their team win today. I really hope so . I found myself thinking to myself this morning " can i really stand watching another gubbing today , should i just stop at home and watch Liverpool v Man Utd and Arsenal v Spurs " . Of course i'll end up going , but that's the first time i can ever remember thinking that way on a Sunday morning

I would say that you have every chance of seeing a win today, maybe not all three points but I think a win for Glasgow is the likely outcome.

Would appear the Sheffield revised line up is - 1 Son of God 2 Andre Compton 3 Ricky Wells 4 r/r for Maasen 5 Aaron Summers 6 Simon Lambert 7 Facundo Albin Quite a decent line up with two Ashfield specialists as guests and r/r for the German giving either Wells ( who was excellent at our place last season ) or Summers an extra outing . Much might depend on Lambert , who has had double figure returns at Ashfield in the past , but was woeful when up with Somerset a fortnight ago .

Lamberts double figures came during the single lane season of 2010 when if you gated there wasn't enough track width to get passed. Can only see a repeat of two weeks ago, hopefully !
