Recommended Posts

Middlo isn't manager is one, picking the right 4 would help.

Namely?

Stead did well at Kings Lynn tonight. Would have run last in Heat 1 bar a EF but then 2 wins and a 2nd place. Beat Lambert and Schlien in the process.

Oh dear Stead beaten by Robert Lambert

and then he beat Lambert. One race means nothing.

Agreed. To be honest track looks like a gaters paradise tonight so it's not really telling us anything.

Hmmmm. Maybe Rosco has called this one correctly. Always said Rosco was the man for the job as he;'d make the right decisions :D Still not convinced though.

Of course he has got it right, and when he says horses for courses he has got bang on the button.

If the meeting was held at the Wolves then you would have Cookie instead of Stead and Barker instead of King.

Rosco is playing to his squads strengths.

Cook scored paid 12 the last time he was at KL the same as Stead did tonight one as a heat leader the other as a second string riding against NL reserves.

He did but Bjerre was completely different last night from Belle Vue's visit. Cook wouldn't have scored paid twelve at number five last night IMO.

Cook scored 13 points in the British Final against a decent field then score 3 points (?) against Wolves this week, so cant exactly go along with that way of looking.

It's a boring side, with no imagination BUT its probably the right side to put out sadly.

Absolutely. Personally I'd have picked a team looking to the future a bit more, but Rosco had selected his strongest team for the track and on that basis I think he's probably picked the four correct riders.

For last year Danny King was on form around world cup time and he was completely ignored.

Sounds like Lynn was slick this week. That would suit little big bear, doesn't like the dirt. Ex MX riders tend to handle deeper tracks better.

Wasn't slick IMO, but Kenneth is slowly getting his mojo back after breaking his collarbone, seems to be mixing it in the first bend and beyond much more now. Cook has very rarely showed up well at Lynn whereas Stead is usually very good. In terms of picking the best four horses for the course Rosco has probably got it spot on.
