Riders Numbers

Recommended Posts

Cant remember this being discussed.

A popular trend among riders world wide and outside SGP and SEC also is to pick a #number and stick with it. Is anyone actually keeping track on the numbers already picked? I'm as anorak (that word is right?) and interested as the next one, but have decided that someone else can do this one, as my plate for this year is full.

I woke up for this one, as Jari Mäkinen FI seems to have picked 25 as his #number. Getting a bit close to gp reserved's... Also from our part of the world Timo Lahti is #98 for a 2nd season.

Oliver Berntzon have chosen #93, Ludde Lindgren have #77, Peter Ljung have #69, Anton Rosén have 157, Mikkel Michelsen have #155.

Nicki seems to be the only one who has gone against the grain with this, and is sticking with the old fashioned method. Last year he was #5, this year he's #3.

No, it may be a good idea for marketing rider gear but it is bloody stupid for the previous year world standings. Apart from Woofy who had no 1 last year I have no idea who has what number. Will Woffy still have no1 this year?

Patryk Dudek already has #69

Well in that case Ljung gets it on seniority. ;)

...and besides how do you know that Peter Ljung didn't pick his number before Dudek? ;)

Then there's nothing that suggests that two riders cant have the same number?

Dudek is banned and until that ban ends he doesn't have/need a number.

Got a sneaking suspicion Dirty Nicki could be #1 in 2016

69 seems to be very popular. :P

They will have to use 69a, 69b etc if they get to join Jason in the meetings

Common sense? the purpose of the number in the first Place?

And actually Mäkinen had picked Kildemands #25.
