track was wartered by a lorry tanker - not long after it started to rain - totally clueless track staff

You mean Olsen's staff, clueless? Wonder where they get that from?

I've sent a polite tweet to British Eurosport as to where I can view live coverage of tomorrow's Speedway World Cup - I suggest everyone does the same.

All the best

Rob

Would do if I knew how!

I guess in their defence the Danish sites seemed to suggest it would be ok.You can't I think expect them to look at the BBC or a German website even if they might have got it correct. It is the same with weather sites everywhere.Who remembers the "There isn't going to be a storm tonight" forecast hours before one of the biggest storms to hit the country?

Actually, Michael Fish said there wouldn't be a hurricane and there wasn't. We don't get hurricanes in the UK.

He didn't say they were was not going to be a storm.

Speedway is staggering from one PR disaster to another. It doesn't matter who is to blame - what happens is important.

Speedway was on free-to-air channel tonight so the collateral damage is that much greater than being broadcast to a "captive" audience on Sky.

Fingers crossed for the British Final.

Get a grip people people. It rained, officials tried to get it on and failed. Always happened in speedway, I dare say always will. Hardly a PR disaster.

Exactly, there was no farce tonight, it just didn't happen due to the weather. Much prefer that than them try and rip everyone off by staging half a meeting, although who knows what tomorrow may bring...

Great! Lets ride a farce-tournament organised under rules of BSI, an incompetent company that can't help sorting out problems with speedway within their own country, watched by an audience of 3000 on-site and postpone polish league dissapointing thousands of fans (8000-10000 per match) that bought the tickets already. Thanks BSI! You're indeed a remedy for issues of modern speedway!

That's such a load of cr*p-polish league postpone matches all the time when Saturday championship qualifiers etc get rained off- even if the 6 or 7 is not available the match is postponed.

It is the drip, drip, drip effect (excuse the pun). As one-off not a disaster but combined with recent events it is a total PR disaster. Just shows that speedway has lost its way.

The effect of this, the Coventry debacle and others will be counted at the turnstiles.

Then why tomorrow when it collides with national leagues? Why not middle of the week? Why BSPA boycotts non-british tournament by not allowing Brits to participate claiming those collide with EL/PL schedule while not giving a fu*k if SWC collides with other national leagues' schedules?

Poland should have planned for this likelihood.

Sorry, you're in the wrong forum. The "We want One Sport and the PZM to take over world speedway" is next door......

what a numpty, even if it was cancelled and not on tomorrow which was always going to be the case the riders would not be able to ride for the teams in Poland as they would still be 'cup tied' so either way if it didnt get completed tonight then there would be no speedway in Poland tomorrow
