Berwick V Sheffield - August 15th

Recommended Posts

Why Cook feels the need to publicly slate another club is beyond me really doesn't do himself any favours whatsoever, It wasn't that long ago he made comment about a Glasgow junior which he rightfully got slaughtered for and rightfully so.

But thinking about it if Cook had more that 2 brain cells think about how dangerous he could be on social media.

What is Hilarious is slating any track when he rides at Armadale.

Berwick do not have there problems to seek at the moment and don't need the likes off Cook rubbing there noses in it i really hope thing's go to plan and the Bandits can come out the other end, As a Glasgow fan i can relate to how the uncertainty must be affecting them as we have had it on a few occasions.

But Cook must remember this Edinburgh have had the begging bowl out for the last couple off seasons and if they didn't run next season he would have piss*d that many people off at premier league level that many may decide that he isn't worth the hassle if he was still wanting to ride this level.

Would like to see him put these kind of comments to Polish Team managers if he ever get to ride ride there!!!! an escort to the Airport might be required.

Ps

Are you sure he has 2 brain cells, doubtful.

So Glasgow wouldn't take cookie if he was available?

That would be Glasgow's decision but you have to admit he doesn't do himself any favours on social media with his comment's.

Berwick seem to be his target at the minute why who knows?.

Think he's been consistent about his dislike for the Berwick track.

Do they think the rest of the World gives a flying whotsit, what they think?

Just contradicted yourself methinks if you deem his posts worthy of commenting upon.

berwicks track will always be contentious as if its smooth its totally pants with just 1 line given the footie pitch inside. Just like the paradox exeter had with their rugby pitch, berwick have to plough the track to give themselves any chance.

You sure you don't mean slick,it was smooth last night but had a little dirt on it.It certainly showed who had a it control of their bike instead of this throw it sideways and hold the throttle on the stop.Disapointed with Cook as he had a good meeting and a fantastic track record then does his usual mouthing off.Wish Sissis a speedy recovery as he showed a good few riders how to ride a motorcycle and be in control.

Well i really mean is "not rutted and bumpy or wet n deep" as a certain previous promoter seemed to like. Your constrained by the shape sadly, it'll never be a great racing strip pity Berrrington shut. I'd question your "little dirt" given the issues certain riders had staying upright but more the fact a few chains got dropped.

were you there last night? Dropped chains! I.only seen one and it snapped when Jorgensen was going in a straight line towards the 1st bend in Ht 15.think you are just having a dig .It was only the usual suspect that couldn't stay upright (Garrity)Like I said the only riders having any trouble were the one that have no throttle control.I would like to hear some comment from Sheffield Supporters that were there ,whatever their opinions. Your not allowed an opinion on Berwick unless it's positive.that could be the reason for little interest.

I think you may have had a good point 😉

Not trying to be a smart arse here TheScotman, but he did praise it earlier this year on Twitter. Still on there.

Have to question why he appears to post on Twitter about this particular track though?

Ah come on Dekker, I didn't comment on his post content. Edited by george.m

Doolans remarks about tracks and machinery should be listened to as it is spot on.

Yip,but never quite made it to the Top.

Doolan's comments Re; Cook are pretty much nail on the head shows how highly some off his professional riders rate him.

Indeed he did, in fact I think Cook described the Berwick track earlier this year as excellent. We can argue all day and all night about Cook`s remarks on social, though it probably doesn't do the club many favours to see one of its official's going onto the same social media to respond to Mr Cook.

So Glasgow wouldn't take cookie if he was available?

The only people that can answer that question are the Glasgow promotion. But I know what you mean.

I would have him in a flash.

What I would point out to those Edinburgh supporters who understandably jump to the support of one of their own is see beyond the detail of each negative post. For me he is a great rider to watch, on his day untouchable in the PL, but what I and many others (I suspect) are saying is, we like our top, top riders to show the same class off the track as on it. I'd like to see him being a top EL rider (that way we wouldn't t need to face him 6 times a season ;) ). I'd like to see him being a top GP rider. And as he appears to have missed that boat, you do feel disappointed for him. It's then you look for reasons, and whether relevant to on track success or not he doesn't seem to carry himself the way top GP riders do. What would be water off a duck's back to them, seems to be too high a priority to him. Quite simply, he doesn't know how to play the game.

Agree, his opinion of himself seems to be a little high though.

Craig Cooks a lucky lad. He never rode the Berwick track in the mid to late 2000's when the back straight was like a roller coaster. Compared to then it's like a billiard table now.

I was at the recent KOC meeting with the Rockets where the track looked terrible after a heavy shower. Don't remember any complaints from the riders, they just got on with it. Only one faller during the entire meeting, Luke Bowen AFTER the race had finished. Cooks just a wind up merchant, nothing wrong with that as long as he's not abusive.

Indeed he did, in fact I think Cook described the Berwick track earlier this year as excellent. I like Razzor, but I think he made a big mistake with his response
