Leicester Lions 2016

Recommended Posts

The rules state that the first set of averages would be issued on 31st March and applicable for Monday 4th April. They would be updated every 2 weeks thereafter.

However for an EDR to be considered for a 1-5 place their MA must be based on 4 meetings (Rule 16.2.7.1. 2x home and 2x away) and would come into effect 7 days after the 4th qualifying meeting.

The part I've emphasised is your interpretation and not written in the regs. Irrespective of the actual regs, because their value is diminishing day by day, Issue 2a of the green sheets gives new averages effective from April 4th.

Edited to add:

Sussed it! Auty and Klindt's averages haven't changed since the initial team declaration but Klindt started with a lower average than both EDRs who had to start at 6 & 7. With Monday as the first reshuffle date teams revert to strict average order as mandated by 17.5.2 c)

...maybe...

I actually toyed with the idea of venturing to Lakeside tonight! Great decision to sit on my *rse instead it would seem. Two away meetings running and the reserves embarrass the others, one of which is a guest who comes out for Heat 15! Our heat leaders have managed two heat wins between them in these two meetings, in which we have fallen apart in the latter halves. It's early doors I know but we've been here many times before and I would like to hear any comments that club representatives may wish to make. Another tricky away track with four bends and two straights it would seem.

For anyone with snapchat the Lions have just got it.. you can add 'leicslions' to see whats going on behind the scenes/ in the pits. Doubt they'll show any racing as I imagine it classes as streaming

Technically, according to the rules Auty and Klindt swap Monday and the Worrall switch for BV but it was stated that the draft riders would all get 4 meetings in reserve so let's wait and see.

Thoroughly embarrassed at home. Sounds like the older poles don't fancy racing for the lions. I know there's not many options, but I'd rather have people actually trying to pick up points. Very frustrating. Simon stead anyone? Would miss a few meetings, but it'd be better than the current shambles

Ulamek and Walasek have never raced. They're both about 40 now so have almost 25 year careers and I bet both can count the genuine passes they've made in one hand.

They're OK 3rd heat leaders in the old format but this format they're riders who need to swap between second string and heat leader. This team was always going to do this. You were flattered at Brandon because of the make up of both teams and a few of your guys being track specialists.

It's madness that Leicester could go all season without a win or with only a couple of wins while Poole could do the complete opposite. A points limit is meant to equal things out but the idiots in charge made the limit too high and then made it even worse with totally screwed up heat leaders lists - I guess Leicester should be thankful they have a decent reserve pairing and the draft didn't screw then over too!

TIMO Lahti always has first class equipment, hes a gater, and the Leicester track would be ideal.Maybe he has other things planned ,but surely worth a try.

That Leicester Team would struggle to win a PL match.

we're an awful elite league team, but we arent a premier league team. theres still a gulf between the leagues. we beat a sheffield side (one of the better pl teams) who were bolstered by a gp rider as we were diminished with a local rider at owlerton. Josh Auty is a pl number 1 yet a reserve (albeit not for long) for the lions.

The old PL can beat an awful EL team battle.

Proven time and time again .............They can't and don't.

Maybe I was a bit harsh with my judgement ,but you would certainly not win the Premier League with these riders that were in the Team tonight IMO

that 7 would definitely win the premier league. they might not performing like they did tonight. but those riders would demolish the premier league
