Lakeside Hammers V Leicester Lions - 27 May Elite 'b' Fixture

Recommended Posts

The team changes will make little difference to the Hammers and a comfortable home win is expected.

Anticipate this being extremely one sided, at least we should have 7 riders trying to at least finish the race

No Wozniak for Leicester as recalled by Wroclaw so will be banned for 28 days as withholding his services so RR

Nilsson is second in the averages, so yes, AJ will get an extra ride.

Should be a comfortable home win.

Hopefully a good away win tomorrow, what with having Craig Cook as a guest for Nilsson

5pm RACEDAY WEATHER & TRAFFIC CHECK:

Fine, bright, sunny & warm here at the stadium although best bring a jacket in case it gets nippy later.Traffic was flowing freely when we came through the Dartford Tunnel and seemed to be doing the same overthe bridge so see you later!

So the team at the foot of the table and clearly struggling lose a rider due his "home country club" insisting he rides for them. and so the rules further punish the British club by banning the rider for the next 28 days.

perhaps the BSPA think that this action clearly benefits the Lions, who will be stronger without Wozniak and also means that fixtures held during that time will also be far closer and more entertaining as R/R always produces more points than the replaced rider will ever do.

ah sorry, my mistake...The reality ....BSPA rules yet again ensure speedway shoots itself in the foot and short changes the paying public by making sure the last thing they consider is creating value for money entertainment. Much better to stick to crass bureaucracy which makes no sense for the short, medium or long term good of the sport.

I believe you'll find that Wozniak has been recalled by his Polish club and his UK start permission rescinded, hence the granting of the r/r facility. Given that why blame the BSPA who surely have done the correct thing?

No doubt we'll have the first instance of rider-replacement at reserve. Given the idiocy of this season it wouldn't surprise me....
