Lakeside Vs Belle Vue, 21/9/16...

Recommended Posts

The decision to not fully televise the Belle Vue vs Lakeside match was taken last week and was made by a combination of a technical difficulty and that its expected to be a large home win.

It will also allow better and more in depth coverage of the Wolves vs Poole meeting.

Hmmm...

why would they prefer a rider comin bk from a bad injury over a rider top of the gp . and in form and a small track specialist

Cook had a Polish superman lined up.

Utter BS.

We could gain home track advantage with 6 riders (inc. 1 x NL).

Utter BS.

Jon Cook is an utterly DIRE Speedway Promoter.

As I said a week ago, Lakeside are simply 'cannon fodder' to opposition.

Please do the decent thing Mr. Cook and just GO!

As Eastbourne Manager, Lakeside Promoter, and your involvement/tenure with the BSPA as Vice-Chairman, you've been an UTTER abject FAILURE and an embarrassment.

So who does any Hammers fan think would have scored than R/R did for AJ tonight?

Only Lakeside would go into a play meeting with R/R at no 1.

Reading did in 2006 as well up against Swindon, we still won. :D

apart from a few sports sky are trimming costs, sometimes quite drastically, new customers are hard to find simply because everybody who wants sky has already got it,theres also now significant competition from other providers and existing subsribers are getting p****d off with regular price hikes,so the bv match will be a single camera shot saving a load of dosh

Not forgetting those who decide not to pay for it and "steal" it using apps like Kodi

Because Jon Cook thinks he knows more than the trackstaff. There has been good racing all season when he didn't interfere, now he puts his oar in and this happens. Inexcusable. Even more inenexcusable because he has interefered in the past and the team have suffered because of it.

Well done to Belle Vue though. Good team, good TM , kept the same 1-7 all season and didn't cheat . Especially well done to Scott who well and truly rolled the years back.

Well done to Lakeside as well though, after the Speedwáy Star pundits predicted a 7th place finish and most forum experts were saying 6th/7th place , so overall the team did better than most people thought.

Scott would be a good signing for Lakeside next year as he hasn't really got to grips with the NSS.

What technical difficulty is that? All the years that sky have been showing the playoffs they have never had this technical difficulty - it's a money saving stunt - no more no less!

Iam surprised Nicholls has never ridden for Lakeside before he has always done well except the odd bad meeting.

This went totally as expected. The track was dire, probably the worse in the county, that bad. Always favours the inside gate and generates handicap races.. To go without a No1 was short-sighted. I'm sure they could have found someone.

Nichol was superb and showed the way to has to be ridden. The worrying thing for Lakeside, it that at the NSS, BV will have 7 riders next time.......

NB. Is the exclusion rule of Zagar the same in all countries, I got the impression he didn't realise he'd done wrong. A ridiculous rule brought in to speed the process up, but when used it slows the meeting down by far more.........

I know the track is not everyone's cup of tea and that is fair enough but I've seen some good racing this year but Iam still struggling to understand why it was prepared like that!! Nilsson, Kennett and to a lesser extent Bridger have been flying of late and they all struggled. Iam not even sure if AJ was fit he would have done much on it. What is the point of using R/R because the team is full of home track specialists then not preparing it like they have all season so all the specialists struggled lol.

Well unfortunately this was always on the cards, surely a guest was the best option, can't understand how they thought r/r would work, Nicholls is excellent there, Richie Worrall rode there. I thought with luck they could at least win by 4-6 and make it remotely interesting but not a chance they couldnt even beat a reserve in heat 13!

I agree, short changing speedway fans after paying to watch speedway all year then they don't show a leg in the play off semi finals.

So what exactly will be shown? Just a few heats delayed not live? Will we still have big screen to watch other semi?

What bright spark at Lakeside gave Nicholls a golden opportunity to practice last week ? Other guests were available who were not lining up against Lakeside last night. Seems the management were relying on just doctoring the d shape to win them through. Only KK can save them now at BV !

I like that people are moaning about Lakeside using R/R yet don't come up with a rider suitable. There wasnt any that's why.

Errr, no....the rule actually does speed the process up, (it prevents rides leaving the track).

It is when the rule is broken that the delays occur - as is the case when most rules are broken !

And no, the rules are not the same in all countries, or events for that matter, something which most riders and managers should be aware of really, after all they are professionals making a living from this.
