Therefore Poole had to use guests for the remaining 5 EL meetings prior to the play-offs. They were given permission within the rules for play-off teams to sign a replacement for Andersen on a reassessed average below 7.15 - no rule broken!! Neither Hans nor Poole have broken any rule as Hans' 'long term' injury has meant that his EL season is finished and he has not ridden again in the EL . Having had the stitches removed from his hand on Friday in Poland, the specialist advised that if his hand felt strong enough to grip the handlebars then he could try to race again, which he did today in Poland, where he had his treatment. Scoring 3 points from 4 races and not being considered for his final nominated race, in the Polish 2nd division play-offs. Personally, I'd say that a long term injury in these circumstances would be one where there was no chance of you riding anywhere again this season.
