steve roberts 9,246 Posted January 9, 2017 (edited) Correct in both cases. The former was also known as Speedy Pete. 'Speedy' Pete and 'Joe' Gooddy who often looked out for each other when riding for Oxford! One of my favourite nicknames was 'Hurriken' McKinlay. scottyfan 824 Posted January 10, 2017 (edited) There was also 'Super' Simon Wing, 'Marvellous' Marvyn Cox, Jens 'Rambo' Rasmussen, and of course 'The Main Dane' Hans Nielsen.Wasn't Hans Nielsen also known as "The Professor " Can't believe no ones mentioned Maciej "Magic" Janowski Or Martin "Trapper" Yeates or Kevin "smelly" Smith or Stan "the man" Bear. This was a nickname given to him after he had left 'The Cheetahs' by the presenter on SKY TV...Keith Heuwen or some such name!

Dave Goddard 356 Posted January 11, 2017 I always call Adam Roynon "The Bionic Man" in my commentaries. Adam Skornicki is the "Rockman" as he looks like a member of a heavy metal band. George Major was "The Flying Banana" thanks to the yellow leathers he had made when he rode for Birmingham to match the club colours. Nigel Boocock was "Little Boy Blue" for the same reason. And I believe that last season Jack Smith and Jack Parkinson-Blackburn became known as "Jackson 5-1"!
*JJ 512 Posted January 12, 2017 And I believe that last season Jack Smith and Jack Parkinson-Blackburn became known as "Jackson 5-1"! Or The Jack Attack! Zack Wajknecht was known as The Little Grasshopper.
