I helped secure the safety fence prior to Nigel Wagstaff becoming promoter and based upon the picture the track is much wider than it once was and one can just make out where the line of the safety fence once was. Is there a rule which, on the grounds of safety prohibits track lighting stanchions being positions as close to the safety fence as those shown in the picture? Looking at the photos my impression is that there isn't a speedway safety fence in place at present, & when there is the lighting will be far enough back to be OK . Matt Davis 156 Posted September 23, 2021 The metal safety fence is being removed and replaced as it doesn’t meet current regulation in terms of thickness and height

Yes there is but as others have mentioned the fence has been removed and presumeably will be re-instated somewhere in its original position thereby conforming with the regs? eric i 620 Posted September 23, 2021 They should put the fence as wide as can safely be done, more width the better the racing.
