Poole V Swindon Ela 1/5/17 6pm

Recommended Posts

Many days are dodgy in Poole, it is because of the locals.

Yeh, anybody north of Newbury is classed as a northener..

We will have to do what we used to do at Reading, that is chuck some shale on the track because Matt does not seem to have any.

28 days not up until weds.

Does the 28 days start from when he agreed to ride,or from his first actual meeting for Poole. His 28 days have finished now from when he agreed to ride, but hey haven't from the date of his first meeting.

See Newman is riding for Ipswich tonight.

You cannot just CHUCK some shale on the track, it needs time to bed in. It can be done after mondays meeting and give it over a week to bed in..

So what is Pooles excuse for a track like the M3.

It looks like dust not shale,I can remember going years ago and the covers on the greyhound track use to be covered in shale, I know we have the deflectors now, but the track seems so bare, dust after heat 1 don't seem right

Looking at the track surface I would say the last lot of shale was very poor quality.

It looks and feels like dust.

According to the Rye House website they've had a new delivery of shale for Monday!!! Maybe Gerald can 'borrow' some when he makes his way back to Poole in the week?! :D

He'd be frightened to put it on Track!

To be fair I do know the quarry where the shale was coming from was under water at start of season so couldn't get if out of ground.

The Poole track staff seem scared crapless of putting water on the track. A couple of men holding hosepipes and afraid to put more than a light sprinkle on the track every 4 or so heats. Billowing dust for everyone to suffer, fans shouting out from the grandstand about it as a bloke holding the hosepipe waters the centergreen!

Wheres the water bowser? It never shows its face during a meeting. Ever. Two hosepipes is clearly nowhere near enough. The very next race after a "watering" the dust billows up after a couple of laps.

Far worse this season and unacceptable. Really needs to be sorted out, quickly.
