Top eight have split themselves from the rest, Zmarzlik the only one likely to join them. Will now take some spectacular recovery for the likes of Hancock and Holder to catch up. Linback having one of his dreadful years.

The racing wasnt top class, but certainly not dreadful. Not the riders fault, more the track. And as I remember that track seems similar to Prague - oh dear. Hopefully Prague will be prepared for RACING

I think that Tai getting a warning, affected his gating ? and everyone seems to agree that getting out the gate was imperative on such a very poor surface.....glad i didnt have to pay to watch this one......not a patch on Warsaw in any way at all !!!

Well done to the Poles.....Freddie injured....Doyle bike problems.......Sayfutinov the only entertainer on show!

Sort these crap tracks out Mr Morris, that's 2 out of 3 now!!!!!!!

Its not Phil Morris's fault , never is !

Disappointing meeting after the incredible SEC round there last year. Championship is wide open. Anyone of the top 8 plus zmarzlik more than capable of being world champ. Great to see Emil looking close to top form. Relieved to see everyone walk away from that horrific looking spill. Tai abut unlucky I felt, looking as good as anyone and he'll be in the mix come end of season. Tai emil Doyle and dudek would be my picks for top 4 come end of season.

Disagree. You will only fit 12k? at the NSS which would sell out for sure. I doubt it would impact materially on Cardiff attendance.

Hi waihekeaces........ I love the GPs for the last few years, purely down to TW........a chance of a British champion, makes every race interesting........but I think he looks poor this year........... struggling over what lie to go for in each race, overcooking it.......... could it be parenthood taking his mibd off thingw? Not a dig if it is......

Tai doesn't seem to be keen to mix it these days, maybe his equipment !in his last race when he needed a point he would not go to the dirt line for some reason pottered round the inside trying to pass Kilderman was never going to happen.

What odds a Polish riderbeing World Champ this year?

I think you would simply split the Cardiff crowd with people choosing to go to one event or the other.

Think with the crowd limit and the LineUp you would be gaurantee do a sell out and you would not effect the Cardiff crowd given the number of foreign visitors attend.

It must be partly his fault. I accept you are talking tongue in cheek. But Round One was allowed to be heavily overwatered and Round 3 dry and dusty. What point is there in having an ex rider as the Race Director if he has no influence in the track preparation.

I don't know about him having any influence in my opinion he's no idea I'm sure there's better out there to do his job

Agreed...

This weekend next year at the NSS would deliver a much larger crowd and great racing. .

It's the Great Manchester Run today too so thousands of people visiting the City to compete and support...

Spring BH weekend would be a fantastic sporting festival in the City...

seeing how they can lay good tracks in any stadium these days I think they should try something up north towards or maybe in Scotland , belle vue is a great track but as a stadium very average and small capacity

Hey, I like the idea of a second (or even third) GP in England (that includes Scotland [just kidding]). But if F1 can have a European Grand Prix in Azerbaijan, why can't we have a US Speedway Grand Prix in Scunthorpe?

A few years ago lots of people where saying that we needed to forget the temporary tracks and get the racing on 'proper' (the meaning of which I guess was permanent) tracks. The comment above is completely opposite to that train of thought, ie the poor tracks were the permanent ones!

Strange how things change

Im sure there are a few on this forum who put themselves into that bracket. Its one thing to talk he talk, but another to walk the walk.

Its finding a stadium big enough for the track. If its indoor stadium you talking about, big enough are difficult to find. Cardiff holds in excess of 50,000 and so does Warsaw. there is generally a relation between crowd capacity and potential track size. For example, Manchester Arena is claimed to be the 2nd largest in Europe, yet it only holds 21,000 max. I been there many times and you would not get a decent sized speedway track in that arena (decent size=Cardiff, Warsaw)

Go for a football stadium and you battling with weather wherever you go, so you may as well make a speedway track a racing track and have it their. Also many football stadiums would not contain a speedway track, look at Horsens (Danish GP), one end of it has to be extended outside of the normal stadium dimensions, its not everywhere you can do that.

With some more money (not likely) Belle Vue could be covered like Torun such that the track is covered but not the whole stadium area.

Just watched the GP and was expecting a bore fest after some comments on here, not the best ever but by no means a rubbish one. A fair few decent races and incidents. Maybe I'm easily pleased

Since the Warsaw fiaso 2015, indoor arena tracks have improved immensely - well done those guys.

How about a team of track specialists (not necessarily the same ones that do indoor tracks) be appointed to prepare outdoor speedway tracks for the GP's? They could work along with "local" track staff initially to gain the knowledge of THAT particular track and work from there. Might tak a couple or three years to get it right, but hopefully then we would have race tracks every GP

Shame that we cant have a GP in England??? i.e Wembley ??? although they obviously didn't have speedway in mind when they built it....'hence the non-roof closure' ?

Great track at Belle Vue, but like others have said.....'not enough spectator capacity' !

Think we'd better remain grateful to our Welsh neighbours....Roll on Cardiff !!!
