New era Panthers 2,055 Posted September 17, 2017 Well done to the Panthers. I suspect it probably won't be our last home defeat this season. Although to be fair, you'd be hard pushed to win any meeting with that reserve pairing, especially when they're taking half of the R/R rides. Poor from Summers again, can't see him being back next season. Well done Panthers, it may seem to some that this is a hollow victory considering Glasgow's injury problems but with the amount of 5hit that's been thrown our way in recent weeks an away victory is just the tonic they needed to lift them for the k/o cup 2nd leg at Scunthorpe next friday
Flappy 1,605 Posted September 17, 2017 [quote name="baldyman" post="3032169" Just like Holder did?? I take it his Polish team don't need him today. I don't blame Holder at all for that situation

Your team did their job, rode well and deserved to win. 1-5 in heat 15, nothing to do with reserves there.
Panthers89 1,922 Posted September 17, 2017 Great win, and probably expected tbh. Hopefully keep this up for the Christmas Cup.
MD 1,307 Posted September 17, 2017 Second time in a week the best team has won, and again showing the home riders the fastest route isnt always full throttle round the outside. Ht7 was a painful one as a not particularly quick Starke and Oster team rode to the flag with Summers not even getting close enough to put them under pressure. Thereafter there were precious little opportunites for Glasgow to get a heat advantage with such weak reserves. PB rode well, BWD and Bacon aside. Guest choice for Glasgow going forward is going to be crucial though everyone seems to be playing that game unfortunately.

No atmosphere and nothing to get excited about. Had forgotten how bad Sunday meetings could be

Paulco 7,080 Posted September 17, 2017 Have to agree with you and actually think you are being kind. No atmosphere and nothing to get excited about. Had forgotten how bad Sunday meetings could be Racing was poor apart from Worrall's ride in heat 13 to protect a slow Summers and keep Harris behind him . Peterborough were very good and looked like winning the meeting from pretty early on . Looked like Holder got a puncture in heat 1 , after that nobody got near him .

But you can only beat what is in front of you and another year of nearly for the Panthers.
Cerro 190 Posted September 17, 2017 I dont see our form being an issue. Quote from Summers in the after match report. I'm genuinely concerned if he's serious with that comment
Gazc 7,098 Posted September 17, 2017 (edited) I dont see our form being an issue. Quote from Summers in the after match report. I'm genuinely concerned if he's serious with that comment If that is what he said then he is the only one that doesn't see it being an issue and his form is the biggest issue of them all. Only Ryan McDonald looked slower than him today FFs get real Aaron it would take a major turnaround in form especially yours to stand any chance. Just read it and notice he burnt a clutch and this has been the problem, remain to be convinced on that one but will see how it goes in the POSF. To be fair Mitchell was also slower 😕
Gazc 7,098 Posted September 17, 2017 To be fair Mitchell was also slower Forgot about him I was that engrossed with two seagulls having a disagreement on the stand roof never even noticed Mitchell was riding .
Paulco 7,080 Posted September 17, 2017 To be fair Mitchell was also slower Stood on the back straight you could see Summers visibly shaking his head in frustration exiting the second bend . It was evident the bike didn't have the speed required . Seems to have been a recurring problem this season , he has the odd meeting where he looks the rider we know he is , but days like today have become the norm .
