Islander15 1,065 Posted July 3, 2019 (edited) The inevitable has happened and the date has changed!! Now on Sunday 25th August at Sheffield. So that’s now the 3rd NL event in a row that the date has changed for and I had time off work to attend but now I am unable to attend due to work. They obviously think that fans’ lives only revolve around speedway Edited August 18, 2019 by Islander15
waco 1,026 Posted July 3, 2019 Look at it this way. If your life did not revolve around speedway it would not bother you,,,!

teaboy279 1,038 Posted August 18, 2019 Assume Cradley will need a rider change now.

Sings4Speedway 3,247 Posted August 19, 2019 Surely Cradley wouldn't have chosen Spencer over other options? I thought attendance was mandatory so could pick whoever they liked.

Newcastle are riding so it would seem that Max will be there, not sure about Dan Halsey who would be the obvious other choice. It does seem strange to have gone with Tom initially
Sings4Speedway 3,247 Posted August 19, 2019 (edited) Standard Regs 19.7.4 It is mandatory for riders to appear in the NDL 4TT, NDL BP and NDLRC; riders will be suspended from their next 2 Home Meetings in contravention, subject to the Directors confirmation. Supplementary Regs Qualification: Each of the 8 NDL Clubs will be represented, of which 2 out of the Top 3 by MA must be selected. As it stands Cradley & Plymouth don't fall into the qualification criteria although Plymouth should be cut a little slack as Extance is out for the season so Stoneman becomes the 3rd fit rider by MA. So surely Plymouth would have to choose Andrews with Extance being injured? As for Cradley, not picking Halsey it Harris seems strange and confusing. Will one of those appear now Spencer is injured or will they be stuck with McGurk? Edited August 19, 2019 by Islander15

As the ruling for mandatory attendance is in place and no facilities given to over 18's either this year if Halsey has chosen a mid season holiday i fear he may receive the two match ban? teaboy279 1,038 Posted August 20, 2019 (edited) Yeah, could be a couple of suspensions for Cradley here. Never understood why a speedway rider or any sportsperson (pro or amateur) would book a holiday during the season (the exception being family weddings or similar) , shows complete disrespect to your team mates and club fans. (Unless you do an Armo and fly back from your Holiday to ride...) Edited August 21, 2019 by teaboy279
RS50 359 Posted August 24, 2019 Just seen the latest line up on Sheffield's website. Looks a lot weaker than the line up on BSPA"s event's page website.
