My experiences of committees have been awful

My grandfather always said that the best committee had two members and the other one was a silent partner!

It's normally cos they have the wrong but safe option type of people in them

It's usually those that are willingly to give up a lot of time and effort for no real return whilst taking unwarranted flack from those that wont;):P

Don't worry people, its not me I was asking for, I am far too opinionated and offensive. I was just wondering, as I could think  of a couple of people that I think would be fantastic additions imo.

Another 2 signings announced next week. Probably King and Klindt.

Then I guess that’s your lot until after Christmas. Got a feeling this #1 search will go on well in to the new year.

Got a feeling you’ve got your #1.

Klindt.

Probably, although a few seem to think we’ve signed Danny Ayres which muddies the water. If Klindt is at 1 then we’ve packed the reserves and Ayres doesn’t feature.

I still like that proposed line up you put up tbh with Nicholls and Covatti at reserve.

Like Peterborough, and like Wolves, I think it's scuppered team building.

There are a lack of number 1s to go around and imo, it should have been split this season. Lambert and cook at KL. Doyle and Batchelor at Swindon. PK and Kurtz at BV. Holder and Pedersen at Sheffield. 8 number 1s being shared by 4 teams.

I don't know how we could realistically implement it, but this season will see clear gaps from 3rd downwards.

Peterborough and Ipswich are going to be struggling to put a competitive side out.

With the greatest of respect to him, Klindt is never a number 1. He's a decent second string/3rd heatleader.

I'm pretty sure Ipswich will be solid across the 1 to 7 but like last season, they will struggle at the top end and in the big races.

The 'new No1' doesnt necessarily have to have the highest starting average and come in at No1 whatever the reserve option

It's really the 5th 6th and 7th riders everyone is guessing at. A week is a long time in politics and the same goes for speedway team building! :)

Surely the Number 1 does have to have the highest average and ride at 1 - unless that rule is changed for 2020?!

There are still a few options for our 5 6 7 riders, get that right and we will still be contenders,

I think he means Chris Holder could sign on less than Klindt but become the number one.

Chris Harris was signed as a number 1 but ended up being a number 2.....

Ipswich are after a rider that could ride at number 1 as have just shy of 8 points remaining. However it may be that he has a lower ave so to put Klindt (when announced) at 1 for the start of the season.

E.g. if KK was signed he would technically be our new no 1... but has a lower ave than Klindt. If Zager was signed then he would be new no 1 AND ride at 1.

Not so sure say holder and Ayres would outscore, Covatti and Nicholls, and going strong reserve route, could be any of Nicholls, Covatti Allen Heeps at any time
