I think Bickley has too much expectation on his shoulders from some...

He rides a few certain tracks well, but overall doesn't score well at most places...

I can see him becoming the modern day Simon Lambert as he goes through his speedway career...

Reserve/Second String in the 2nd tier, with the odd occasional 'Man of the Match' performance where it all clicks for four or five rides on the same night...

He isn't the same level as a great many U21 riders around Europe, and by now, if he was going to ever be at the level of Bewley, Drabyk, Kubera etc then he would be a lot closer to them now...

Lowering what is expected of him might help him...

Updates about Leon and  Ty are on the BSPA website not on Berwick's for some reason.

It happens more than you'd think but not always with such drastic injuries.

Seemingly Uli Oostergaard also went into the fence after a race the other night too. (After ht5 Glasgow v Plymouth)

That was slightly different,it was due to Barker racing all the way to the line (pipped Ulli) and things got tight into the bend after race.

Club has been waiting for latest medical reports, but neither will be available this Saturday against Redcar.

Rider-replacement will cover for Leon, and Lee Complin comes in at reserve for Ty.

Chris Harris has been selected (along with Lambert, Bewley and Ellis, Tom Brennan the reserve) for the British team to ride in the European Team Championship event at Poznan at the weekend, and Nick Morris will guest at #1 for the FTS Bandits.       Luke Crang will be #8.

I saw Harris had been selected to ride in this meeting and kind of thought it was pushing things to get from Berwick out to Poland for a lunch time start.

Now this surely is one of those instances where the meeting shouldn't be ran or made into a "challenge"..

Does the sport no favours constantly  having such "made up" teams..

If you win, it's not really your team, and if you lose, it's not really your team..

Meaning you wont be too happy nor will you be too disappointed, depending on the result.. .

Team Sports shouldn't ever as a result of their operating model remove that emotional attachment the fans need..

Not to mention the possible impact to attendance with the No1 crowd puller missing in Bomber..

There must be other Saturday nights when this could have been ran surely?

Getting the fans to believe in the "product" is a key issue for UK Speedway to overcome...

Constantly churning out such situations doesnt help it achieve that sadly...

A shame, as what can be such a great spectacle deserves a much better infrastructure built around it...
