Can any scunny guys explain why it's such a specialist track? Doesn't look particularly unique in size or shape but every time I've watched or been the home guys are so far ahead.

Also have guys like auty, aarnio, Lambert etc that only seem to perform there. Can understand it with Berwick, Edinburgh, Plymouth but Scunthorpe's a real head scratcher to me

If you cannot ride the EWR then you can't ride anywhere. Its so wide, no massive cambers, lots of lines and every man and his dog practises there out of season. A track you can go all out on and take calculated risks, so good racing usually ensues, we are spoilt rotten!;)

That's twice you've insinuated Glasgow have a red cross it's WHITE. Should have gone to Specsavers.

These Workington fans really have a weird fixation with all thing’s Glasgow, predictable and hilarious.

Suppose they have to do something to pass there boring existence.

It's a must win if Glasgow want to be in the top 2, it's a nothing match if Glasgow want to finish in the top 6!

Excellent meeting and performance by Scunny, everyone doing their job.

Was that a new water bowser? Seemed better than the other one.

Another entertaining meeting with all our riders giving it a go. I expected a bit more from Glasgow but so hit & miss, good rides 1 minute poor the next.

The water bowser is similar in operation(front watering) to one used at the NSS & used to get more water down but what was the reasoning behind it? We rarely grade or water during a meeting but was this method used so we did not get a track like the Redcar meeting. A bit of wind & sun meant the track dried out & the blue groove materialised  giving the inner line more heavily used as the outer line wasn't quick enough.

Obviously, on a warm day on Friday, the track was heavily watered to soak through pre meeting which produced some quick times early on & the blue groove did not get a chance to develop. The track grade from inner to outer edges put moisture back in rather than the sprinkling to keep the dust down. Could we have done this, also, to nullify a chance that Glasgow could come back at us? Redcar were similar the other week in being 10 points behind after heat 8 closing to within 2 after heat 13.

Good management, good promoting or what riders asked for?

I also noticed a few Glasgow riders cutting bend 4 very close to 2 wheels over the kerb which one of the referees picked up on with having the white line put down. Maybe a lick of paint on the kerb stones might help!

The problems at Glasgow have been there for all to see for a while now. Cookie doesn't seem to be in the right place at the moment and he always looks angry and unhappy, Ulrich is a nice guy but he's no longer a heat leader especially away from home, Ben Basso isn't the huge steal expected him to be after all the initial hype, Connor can only score decent points around Ashfield when he's riding at reserve and i really don't know what to say about Broc because he seems to be having a truly dreadful season (apart from the last home meeting against Edinburgh in which he got a four heat maximum) and Danyon is simply Danyon. I don't know what i would do if i were the manager of Glasgow as it doesn't look like there is much anyone can do except try to install more confidence into the team which the present manager doesn't really seem to be able to do. The Tigers will still finish in the Top 4 but as Poole proved the other week, there is no way Glasgow could win a two-legged semi-final or final against a team like the Pirates or Leicester.

Basso is still seeing and riding some tracks for the first time so I reckon he is doing OK.

The 'old guard' need a wee kick up the rear end and a manager who does what is really required should be a priority.

Too many mistakes have let points get away.
