The Dog 413 Posted September 4, 2022 The Brummies could sign the top 3 in the world but it's not going to make any difference to the average Joe in the street. There needs to be a monstrous change in how speedway is put out into the public eye to make it sustainable otherwise deep pockets and passion just aren't going to be enough. And this goes to every club, not just Birmingham. 6

Agree putting out an over the top expensive Team just means you lose more money nowadays in Speedway. 1
wtf 621 Posted September 5, 2022 21 hours ago, lisa-colette said: Handy excuse. Gonna be going over old ground here and will no doubt get told off by certain Glasgow fans BUT.... I still think it is a bit shady imo that Glasgow supposedly tried to do a deal during a playoff final when he is riding for the opposition! Surely a conflict of interests potentially but should have waited til it was over. And breathe.. I probably still be going on about it in 20 years tbf lol To be fair, riders and clubs have been talking about next season since about June/July in most cases. It's not just Glasgow, any in demand rider will have been having conversations about next year for weeks by now

HGould 2,215 Posted September 7, 2022 Shame it's off a great send off for a really underrated rider. Hopefully get it on next week. Wonder if Sedgeman, Starke and Wright or Roynon might be hot footing it down to Poole.
