A regulation that largely exists because Aces fans kicked up such a fuss about Wolves late season signing of Woffinden. [2016]

That's highly ironic.

What looks worse.

us picking a guest for that certain track

or

having a permanent rider who’s the same calibre of fricke.

Because now if we go wolves in final we go with Harris or if we go Sheffield probably go with Klindt.

sounds mad that we can cherry pick riders for a certain track.

can we choose a guest from a team that’s not made the final??

Which rather begs the question why Belle Vue even tried to bring him in.

Are you suggesting Mark Lemon doesn’t know or understand the Speedway Regulations.

“In the best interest of the sport rule” maybe.Always a good stand by.

We all know that regulations can be bent for certain individuals/ tracks that are “in the interests of speedway”. Having a Grand Prix rider possibly replacing another GP rider for a max of two meetings does not appear to be one of them. Whenever will the clowns who run our once great sport ever learn?. Robert Lambert seems to agree.

Of course it makes more sense to potentially have four different riders riding in the play offs for the Aces, all from other teams in the same league, rather than making a signing to ride for them in all the matches...

More sense to those who run the sport (appallingly), obviously....

They spend all season borrowing each others riders so I suppose four more times wont make much difference to how the sport is seen and judged...

And whoever wins the league will get hardly a ripple of publicity anyway..

Just a shame an opportunity to being in another 'World Star' wasnt taken..

Can see both sides of this. Would have been great to have Robert here for four play off meetings but @NeilWatson has stated its against the regs and if so then for once the berks who run British Speedway have stuck to the rulebook and resisted special dispensation.

Would also suggest that Lambert's annoyance about his flights should be towards BV if they advised him to book them without permission to ride.

You can make two changes a season in between 25% and 75% of completed League fixtures except for proven long term injury.

No there isn’t. They are still a member of the 1-7 they should be treated the same

If you look at the GSAs the team consists of a 1-6 plus the Rising Star

So there’s no limit to the amount of times you can change your rising star?

Agree. Also, I can't decide if both parties have been really naive with regards to knowing the rules or really arrogant in thinking that they could do what they wanted regardless of the rules...

Why would you book flights, make transport arrangements for mechanics and have kevlars made unless you had proper confirmation?

Higher ups stop BV from making up a new set of rules that only suits them.

Good on the higher ups for being professional.

Or just maybe there is more to the story.  Just maybe the BSPL did give permission to change thier mind.
