Batchelor and Holder were sacked on the eve of the transfer window closing (a petty move but at the same time my sympathy for the riders was zero) and as far as I know those damaged relationships have never been repaired. Having been there that night and leaving the stadium completely dissillusioned I can understand Buster Chapman not wanting Chris Holder anywhere near a club he is involved in but equally you'd have thought six years later they could have sorted their differences enough to work together. It is very important for the club, sponsors, riders and fans that we do our upmost to get the best we can and to entertain the fans and put together a side that has the best chance of winning. It is frustrating that it is taking longer than normal but there are reasons for that. Possibly, although Hawkins did say over a month ago it would be in to February before the team was revealed. Louis has already said in yesterdays press release they’re HOPING to announce more next week. If nothing has been signed it can’t be reported on. I think because more people each day visit your average MacDonalds, than go to a speedway meeting, it's not exactly "big news". Afterall a good investigative reporter could be spending their time looking into pot holes, tory sleaze, mis-shaped vegetables, or a negative trust pilot review.
