If everything had been cut and dried by the end of 2022 this forum would have been as dead as a door nail! Hume is improving bit by bit season on season. Heeps has been in freefall the past 2 seasons. Heeps promised so much but flaters to deceive these days. Danyon Hume is in the Drew Kemp 2022 situation and it could go horribly wrong imo but if you partner him with Emil then Emil should be taking enough chequered flags to ease the pressure on Hume's shoulders. You’re right of course but I think he’s effectively being signed as the reserve and you’d expect them to swap after the first set of averages change and people are just looking a bit longer term.
