This season the play offs were a farce, the grand final of the league program taking place with league fixtures outstanding. If the promoters themselves dont see their own competitions as being important enough to be ran properly, and to be therefore taken seriously, then what chance are they giving themselves of convincing fans, media and sponsors, that these competitions are worth attending, covering and sponsoring? As often will be said.. There needs to be a strong hand on the tiller which ensures so much 'self inflicted nonsense' (which can only undermine the sport), is eradicated.. But... would that best person be able to "Escape From The Chateau". King's Lynn advertised tonight's league cup final as their most important match of the season. I find it hard to consider the competition important when it has been ignored for 4 / 5 months!
