Not pedantic at all, just not speculating like some, the price was advertised that’s how the fans paid for them.

is the 20% your cut?

No extras, no postage , they were collected by a member of staff.

20% is Sunak and CHunts cut

It's called VAT

Race suits are fine UNTIL you have 1, 2 or 3 guest then the whole team effect looks Fred Carnow!

For guest cover ive always liked the jerseys printed up to look like the race suit, which is why ive always been surprised no team has gone for just the jerseys. Im going big with £50 each and get 20 in as riders will lose, forget, ruin them. Still only £1000 and creates better unity whilst still allowing individuality of a riders own suit underneath.

Being professional, as opposed to looking professional is more important IMO!

Think both go hand in hand really, I've always liked team race suits, but no way should a rider pay for them, one form or another of sponsorship is essential, commercial or fans, just shows that all clubs need a good  promotion to sort it.

Is that 3 each.

7 suits with Vat 5 to 6 grand

They buy two for each rider. When I helped buy a (cheap) race suit some years ago, it cost £500.  A fully professional suit costs more than that now, I suspect.

pretty sure buying a full set of team suits will be cheaper deal than buying one , plus the makers want there suits being used and will give them a great deal for that,  most clubs get the suits sponsored by a fan or company who pays for them and then gets the suit at the end of the season to keep so clubs don't really pay for them

Curse of rider power comes into play again though with many going i only ride in X brand so rather than 7 suits made by one manufacturer gaining both bulk discount and continuity (always looks ridiculous when the colours aren't the same shades). however as covered above its very rare that suits are paid for by the actual club and are sponsored the majority of the time.

Sorry for the tangent Redcar fans......
