You can bet if next year starts at the end of April we'll have a dry March & first half of April, then a very wet spell as soon as the speedway starts!

I once had the pleasure of meeting Mary Hopkins when she attended Shielfield to witness the Bandits take on the Canterbury Crusaders on a rainswept October night in 1977 and she did indeed say that at the time. We all thought she was barmy though.

With the second leg of this fixture set to go ahead this Saturday, the home side will show one change from last weeks home win against Edinburgh. With Nathan Stoneman facing a few weeks out Berwick will bring in Greg Blair for this match and the match up at Glasgow the previous evening.
