Recommended Posts

Belle Vue ‘ATPI’ Aces: Dan Bewley 8.95, Norick Blodorn 5.33, Tom Brennan 5.74, Charles Wright 6.55, Brady Kurtz (C) 8.22, Jaimon Lidsey 5.16, Anders Rowe (G); TM: Mark Lemon
Wolverhampton ‘Parrys International’ Wolves: Sam Masters 8.00, Steve Worrall 6.13, Rory Schlein 7.14, Ryan Douglas 6.31, Scott Nicholls 5.28, Zach Cook 4.00, Leon Flint (RS); TM: Peter Adams

Looks like mixed day of sun and heavy showers with a big one possibly around 13.00 so hopefully they will get on with it quick.

Interesting to see Brennan at 3, I'd have  assumed he'd be at 2 as he did so well from there last year. For Wolves I might have had Scotty at 5 at home, but not away (especially at Belle Vue).

Heavy rain coming in right around start time, sensible early decision I think

Disappointed because I was looking forward to this one but that is the right decision. All forecasts said rain (of differing amounts) from at least 11am so there was a chance of a call off with riders at the track, which is hugely expensive. In addition, there would have been a considerable number of fans reluctant to travel, resulting in a low crowd anyway.

Not surprised at all after looking at the met office site last night, better than having fans travelling with the threat of rain hanging over the meeting especially on a bank holiday monday.

That’s a blow, frustrating as would have been a big BH crowd and good pay day for BV. More money down the drain (pardon the pun).

Just heard BV mentioned twice now on the ten and eleven o'clock news on Greatest Hits radio. Seems the owners are doing the right things in increasing the clubs profile.

Three of us were travelling up from Long Eaton for this but decided last night to give it a miss because of the forecast. Hopefully we'll make to the May Day meeting instead.

What's the chances of Wolves avoiding the rain tonight?

9 miles away only had a 10 minute shower about 1pm.Not be surprised if they're not watering track later.

There's been odd pockets of rain today, but it's been really blowy and occasionally sunny so as Wolfie observed they'll probably end up watering the track. Surprising, but there you go!
