Monmore; Evening meetings on Thursday and Saturday, afternoon meetings on Monday & Tuesday, morning meetings on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

...

So rather ironically could Wolves Speedway go back to Friday night?

Or stay on a Monday night

The excuse for being thrown out of Monmore is pathetic.Leo Walker a director at Entain, says greyhound welfare is the sole reason why speedway can longer be tolerated.   Saying to many dogs are getting injured because of the material throw on to the greyhound racing circuit from the bikes . Strange this has only just surfaced when speedway has gone side by side with the dogs for decades.Think this is a lame excuse and a deliberate lie in wanting Wolves out of the way so they can stage further meetings with more profit from online betting in the UK and South East Asia .

To idle to sweep up the debris from the covers and because of the distance between the tracks it's only the home straight anyway.

We had a season with all teams running R/R and 18 heats(?)... it was a disaster

They use covers - but if you watch how they put the covers down each week after they have been folded up from the previous week, they turn them upside down, thus depositing all the shale from the previous week onto the dog track to leave a clean surface on top :D You just can't make it up :D

Just cover the straights and leave the bends. If the dogs can build up enough speed on the straights they could be trained to lean and slide the bends (they’re clever creatures you know)…….I’ll get my coat.

As Martin Dugard stated a one purpose stadium is far easier to obtain planning permission for. Alternatively greyhounds doesn't need a crowd just the ability to stream racing to Asia to allow betting to take place. Just a cover up on Entain's part.
