Ipswich v Leicester May 25th

Recommended Posts

Only followed the updates, but it seems that the Lions can hold their heads up tonight. Fewer last places than Ipswich, but when scores are tight, they will almost always outscore the opposition (home or away) in heats 13 to 15. R/R yielded 9 points, so can’t really use that as an excuse for Lawson’s absence. At the start of the season the gaffer said that Sedgmen and Allen would be jockeying for a reserve berth. The way Justin ‘Sedgsation’ (cheesy I know, but tabloid journalists make a living conjuring up such crap) is going, he’s more likely to be troubling the third heat leader slot.

Is that the best reply you can come up with?

In response to someone posting something irrelevant to this thread and with no apparent sense of humour…………Yes.

Morris is already reviewing his set up for his next Foxhall visit. Putting glue on his a*se will be the first priority!

Wasn't at this one but will be there 1st June - Good night for Danyon again, seems that meetings are the same as last year - lots of narrow home wins seem to be the order of the day - a different style of team building doesn't appear to have affected that outcome!

I wonder if Danyon can get his physical problem sorted, Richie said that to take  six/ 7 rides in quick successsion is hard for him because of a lock arm problem.Hence he would of scored 11 points but for a fall but he has been excellent and he can keep improving his scoring at Redcar is getting there so that is going to benefit Ipswich. With Danyon at the moment you actually have no idea what he going to do so if he can get more consistently he will keep improving he certainly has shown he has grown into a Premiership rider.Being a nice young bloke and a really exciting rider to watch makes him easy for the fans to relate to because they 100 per cent commitment all the time.

Thompson again struggling. You have to wonder how long they’ll give him before making a change there. He’s even struggling for points in the reserve berth in the Championship. Meanwhile you have the likes of Connor Bailey scoring paid double figures in the main body of the Redcar team and beating the likes of Basso and Chris Harris! Not Just Ipswich but Belle Vue also made very strange choices for their rising star positions.

Tbh tho he is consistently scoring especially at home, 9 odd points is more than his fair share, need another reserve that is up to the prem standard who can take some of the other rides so he’s not constantly ending up doing 7 or 3 races in 4.

Totally agree if they’ve known about his arm pump issue then you wonder why they waited so long on Riss and giving him an extra 2 R/R rides every meeting. Also agree on the other reserve, Ipswich have to make a change there if they’re serious about challenging. I’d be on the blower to Connor Bailey personally.

Pre-season Belle Vue & Ipswich must have known there were better options out there, but instead went for the rising stars they chose. Mulford & Joe T struggling is no shock, but I don't expect changes because they've already chosen not to pick the strongest option available!

Well, witches didn't pick Joe T from the start, he is a replacement, possibly the best of the rest in terms of availability at the time....   taking into account that Rowe and Kemp maybe aren't interested that is

Rowe, Kemp & Bailey all had stronger Championship averages, so wouldn't say Joe was the "best of the rest". From the interviews after the signing, it sounded like Ipswich didn't try to get Rowe or Kemp, I'm sure the phrase was along the lines of "wanting to try something new for the RS berth".

They’re not exactly gonna do a press release upon signing joe saying “yeah we’ve got joe cos rowe, kemp and Bailey all said no” are they
