The remodelled Birmingham team certainly looks a force if Batchelor keeps his form like tonight. It sets up well for us to take the aggregate bonus point though with only 6 points the deficit, every point will be crucial if we are to surge in to the playoffs as expected. Surge up the table do well to finish above Edinburgh and Birmingham both making double changes to strengthen up, unfortunately can only see Plymouth below us at the end of the season. BrizHeathen 37 Posted June 22, 2023 I really believe there will be further tweaks to this Brummies lineup. Will all depend on how many points are available when the new averages come out. Its great to get the win but it was a close victory against a fellow struggler. Another heat leader on the radar but will the numbers game allow it????
GiveusaB 1,145 Posted June 22, 2023 I think both Thompson's places are at risk? Hagon is definitely going to improve given time....has a lot of bottle....but needs to make starts Can't believe Berwick didn't use Hook more last night?

screm 8,057 Posted June 22, 2023 Poor teams lose meetings with the poorest team losing the most. Berwick ship seems to be steering a sound course for the bottom of the league.

I would not be surprised if you prove to be correct, because if you do get an opportunity to strengthen up due to points you would be foolish not to take it. We might be getting beaten home and away, but at least we have a team. Better to have a team and lose regularly, than not have a team at all. And our Car Park is Free.
