What does Tai Woffinden mean?

Recommended Posts

With regards to his signing for Sheffield, Tai Woffinden has said that riding in the UK (according to other riders he's asked) is better than it was several years ago.

What, more specifically, does he mean?

Send him a Tweet and ask him, he does seem to engage with people even if it's only to out them.

Didn't he say he in his book that he scours social media for people that slag him off

He means that the majority of track are big and easy to ride now.   e.g. N.S.S., Peterborough, Sheffield, King's Lynn.    So it's better for him that having to go to tricky places like Kirky Lane, Lakeside, Eastbourne, Poole.

I would say tracks are generally better prepared now that they was a few years ago which is what Woffy was saying.
that riders he’s spoke to said the track are much better prepared now.

but like pottering said. That’s because majority are big tracks now

Is it not just down to fixed race nights and riders being able to plan their calendars much more easily, as opposed to previously when race nights were all over the place?

No chance of that. I'm keeping my patch of the Outer Hebrides a strictly Elon Musk-free zone

Wolves like every track has had prep issues.

Odd comment about tracks because he has been very vocal about UK tracks being poorly prepared and of course we have had the tyre gate issue at Peterborough and Pedersen didn’t even last a lap before being injured.

Clearly the offer and timing suits him so he seems happy to skirt over that issue.

Exactly what I suspect! But that's fine by me. A self-employed person doesn't need to justify decisions to take on additional work

The top riders can/could ride them all.... Doyle never seemed to have much trouble at Arlington and Poole, even the sort after Ryan Douglas was sensational at Arlington in his 2 meetings there after one ride to get used to the track, but even in his prime before abandoning British speedway Woffinden always moaned and groaned about most of those.

There’s only a couple of decent riders over here now and it’s easy money they told him.
