No wish to debate with a wum.

A lighted dig is hardly being a wind up merchant!

No loss if you don't wish to debate - your recent opinion has similar value to the Zimbabwean Dollar ;)

Enjoy your title  - its in the bag for you now. A Doyle trumps a Wright and a Blordorn :P

Speedy and full recovery wished to each of them and all other in similar positions :t:

I'd much prefer Doyle wasn't injured.

I'd prefer nobody was injured, guests on both sides takes the shine off the tie. This is one of the issues with Play Offs unfortunately.

Without doubt "ignorance is bliss" when it comes to supporting speedway. The more closely you look, the less you like what you see.

TBF Poland is pretty corrupt too, but in slightly different places and they are much more professional at covering it over with some glitz and glamour. Our lot over here don't really make any effort to cover up their shenanigans any more.

I find its best not to delve too deep into all sports! None of them are truly whiter than white! Juts go along and enjoy, as with most things in life you can find things to whine and moan it in every situation, so its best to try and just enjoy the event.

Looks like they’re showing the 2nd leg from BV on Monday instead of Wolves v Sheffield

Yes  they can use a  guest for their number one as can any team throughout the season, what you cannot do is replace your number one just for the play offs ;like Belle Vue did last season. R/R is not ideal, Wright would be a big miss for any team.

BV didn't replace their #1 "just for the play-offs", they replaced him when they had to because of injury. They used the same regulation that Sheffield and Ipswich had used to make an additional line-up change - and both the Tigers and the Witches abused that Reg when the "long term injury" rider came back to race in the Championship, but not for the Prem team. In Sheffield's case the replacement improved their team and the injured rider never came back. For the Witches, they brought the injured rider back for one league match, which meant he would be eligible for their 2023 line-up.

It is a shame that the ultimate showdown is blighted by injuries but the real champions are those who topped the league table at the end of the regular racing season. The play offs have an attraction from a media perspective and the build up in whatever European league/country they are being raced generates some tribal following which adds to the atmosphere but when the end of season matches are subject to manipulation through the use of rider cover, it does seem to devalue the result. Let’s hope that the four teams taking place can put on a competitive show and notwithstanding the current crop of injuries, the final meetings are close and competitive events and fingers crossed regarding those hopefuls who will come to the tapes in 2024.

Not read through all the posts so might be posting what others already have but how Mark Lemon can say they’ve been unlucky with injuries in the play offs compared to the other teams is ridiculous.

Sheffield have lost their best 2 riders & Ipswich have lost Doyley who is irreplaceable.

Yes The Aces have lost Charles & might be without Blodorn but they are not unlucky as Lemon put it.

To be fair to Mark the article was published on Sunday but Hayley spoke to him the day before and before the GP where Jason was injured. It was also before Tobiasz was injured on Sunday. I also think he was referring to the fact it’s been five times out of the last six that we’ve been hit by play off injury woes.
