But even non-league National League football is £20 to get in these days. Unfortunately some casual fans won’t realise the actual costs to put a meeting on. Many regular fans don't realise the actual costs to put a meeting on!

I think Edinburgh have something like Geographical restriction set up, and I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that if an Edinburgh supporter couldn't attend due to illness, that if they contacted EMTV that they could bypass the restriction to allow them to buy the stream. Apologies if the last bit is my brain playing tricks on me. I streamed pretty much every Oxford away meeting that was available, that wasn't on the very wonderful BSN, I'm sure plenty of fans of any club also did. Good little moneyspinner for the clubs once they've gained back the initial expense of buying equipment and setting everything into place. I support Berwick but live 65mls away though.Edinburgh had a 30 ml radius at one time don’t know if that still applies.

No, but many people realise that what they are getting is very often nowhere near the value of what they are paying. This is something that those running our great sport keep ignoring.

wtf 621 Posted October 26, 2023 3 minutes ago, Bagpuss said: I think it would be fair to say that the riders have far too much influence. If promoters are stupid enough to over pay, why is that the riders fault? Because as a group the promoters have as much integrity as a spam sandwich. Back in 2013 I think it was, The 2nd division all agreed a £55 a point pay cap across the board at the agm. Within an hour I knew one rider who was being paid £75 a point (£20 a point cash) No one is forcing the promotion to sign them and pay what they ask for, the promotions aren't strong enough to act together. Blaming the riders is like blaming a work colleague for not agreeing to do his job for half the money for the benefit of his boss?
