Was surprised when it was called off as Oxford keep meetings on when they have hours of rain. Very strange. They didn't leave the hose on did they? Like BV did that time.

Very odd considering the amount of rain against the brummies and that went ahead as you’ll be able to watch on YouTube tonight for those who are interested . Maybe lbw could let you know about the weather and the whereabouts of the Oxford Poole thread.

Triple.H. 1,988 Posted April 3 Well the rain in Oxford last night was very heavy. This morning I was working about half a mile from the stadium and there was a couple of heavy downpours. Maybe they shouldve waited for you Pirate fans to brave the journey north and then called it off.

Let's hope there are not to many rain offs then, with running 3 leagues

Early call off is actually out of character for them. Have to take your word about the rain as lots of people saying it hasn't rained there today and also if you look up past weather in Oxford it has no rain for any time today. szkocjasid 3,144 Posted April 3 After calling off a few meetings last year when all the fans were in the stadium, you'd think Oxford would be praised for calling it off early? As they are racing in all 3 leagues, there's no way they want any postponements, so they must have been sure the track wasn't raceable.

Can you imagine if Poole called a meeting off this early with only a couple of heavy showers, people would want evidence of the damage to the track.

Oxford covers a big area It can rain somewhere and a few hundred yards away be completely different weather. Last season people moaned about late call offs Now they moan about early ones
