Yes… he has already  said that he could have made one more change at Oxford…. Cook for flint in heat 14 but as those of us in attendance debated, would that have knocked Leon’s confidence and remember that Leon had won his last race in heat 8 .
A hard call… we were doing far better than any of  us expected but, which way would you have gone?
personally, I was happy to support whichever decision he made because there were pro’s snd cons either way and, he’d already shown he had the nouse and the bottle by dropping milik for Worrall in heat 13

A few thoughts, if you're worried a rider getting dropped for a stronger rider will knock their confidence, is Speedway a suitable vocation for them? Riders can't go around expecting not to get replaced (not saying Leon thinks that) so team managers need to be ruthless for the good of the team. Now you point out the clever move made in heat 13, which worked a treat, but could that not have knocked Milik's confidence, if that's on Sam's mind?

Now when you're 30 points in front, by all means give a weaker more rides to boost their confidence, not in a close match though.

As for the heat 8 win, that's a perfectly acceptable reason to leave him in. If Sam though Leon had got the right set-up etc & left him in for that reason, can totally support that decision.

That was dated March 2022!

My bad. thought it was a lot different to what was broadcast this morning, which was basically a moaning piece NT doing a Steve Mallet doom and gloom piece, along the lines of "use it or you lose it "

Not sure the Birmingham riders got the memo about struggling! :D Although tbh perfect time to ride against Sheffield, they haven't really got going yet.

Also good to read on speedway updates that they have got a big crowd in.

Haven't got going yet? Its meeting number 2 for god sake. You really do bring it on yourself with your thick comments.

Birmingham doing well fair play and a big crowd in sounds good. Hopefully hold on for a win.

Lack of top end strength showed sadly for Brummies but a last heat decider and a draw is much better than an opening night defat by 10 which is what most were predicting and I was (if I'm being honest) expecting.

Flints win in ht 8 could be classed as fortunate, in the original staging when Wright came down, Boughen was well ahead. Cook was an obvious choice for heat 14.

Feel for Brum. If anyone should’ve been disqualified from the super heat it should’ve been Holder, shot across the track and into the side of Scotty

No leon for cook in heat 14, Sam is going to be annoying for Brummie fans.
