I don't think so. Whilst it is good to race at the highest level possible, this brings it's own negatives. The rider joins a team & is not expected to score many points & the team insist there is no pressure on the young rider which is all fine & well until the teams results are in question. Whilst racing in a lower league the rider can race against others of the same standard & can learn to win races rather than having to come from behind to gain points. This will see the rider progress within the side & gain more confidence 7 advance his career quicker

Given the "one extra" league, the better level of riders will have to choose either Sweden, Denmark or the UK, meaning less cross over, so minimal clashes, (if any at all)... That should mean Poole could, theoretically, ride in the top tier on Wednesdays...

Yes seems that way. Its on Bandits website News now as well. There been something special at Berwick this year. Good crowds, excellent racing, good presentation, social media on the ball etc. Okay they cant always get it perfect, no one can, there will always be critics somewhere, thats nature of day to day living as everyone entitled to opinion but its been good in 2026. -
If any TV deal justifies the extra costs seems to be one of the main crieria...

This will cause a rider shortage but on the plus side it will mean Premiership will get Wednesday and Tuesday racenights back. Surely Poole will move up to a watered down Premiership on their favoured Wednesday race night.
