I don't think anyone from Lynn has blamed the track for the defeat, if anything it helped us get a very respectable score considering Ipswich's power this year. But those who paid for an afternoon's racing and got a blue groove are perfectly entitled to criticise from a VFM point of view. It's unusual for Foxhall and there were obviously meteorological reasons for it so hopefully lessons will have been learned. Telling people to deal with it doesn't really help anyone going forward. 

Must admit I have not read the program yet, but find it very strange to mention crowd levels at the very 1st meeting.  Like you apart from a couple of meetings late on last year,  I thought the crowds were reasonable.  But we are not the promotion,  so let's stick together and encourage all fans to support the comets going forward,  let's hope for some good racing and results,  most of all some good crowds, starting this weekend when the bears are in town with a good traveling support.  UTC

Yes your closing sentence does make me feel as though maybe I shouldn't have mentioned any crowd level. But my input was rather induced after reading the programme notes in the edition we were given on Saturday..i.e. the Edinburgh prog. with Scunthorpe insert. And what caught my attention was the James Denham page. In particular the para at the bottom of page. I quote - "We are extremely grateful to everyone who supports the Comets - sponsors and fans - but last year we did struggle with crowds and without the help of sponsors we would not have been back this year".   Blimey James that was a bit scary to read. I reckoned crowds were very good last year - maybe Plymouth being lowest? I think the fixtures with gaps etc. do affect regular attendees. Hopefully then sponsors continue to keep Comets flying high.
