A thoroughly deserved win for Ipswich, once again they were far sharper from the gate. Brennan was excellent and as a Team GB fan its great to see m, I think he can develop into a very good rider. Lynn just need to start better. Apart from Kvech who was on a lawnmower everyone had plenty of speed, Scott and Rushen had loads of pace but were yards behind into the first turn. They will get better and score plenty of points particularly at home. They were always going to take time to settle. Thought Paco had a decent home debut. The Witches were pretty ordinary below Brennan & King but always had the Stars at arm's length. Lynn need to be much better when the fixture is repeated next month.

If my Aunt had a pair of b0llocks and all that. IF Musielak repeated his 17 pointer haul on one of his visits last year (capable) Lynn would have been obliterated. IF Bangs had more time to settle in to racing in this Country it wouldn’t have even gone to the last heat etc etc. The fact is Lynn never looked like winning either meeting and had to use a tactical on their own track against a team many has tipped for the Wooden Spoon! They’ll improve and get better results as the season goes on sure, but they’re not even close to competing for that elusive title you’ve never won. -
Not necessarily. Fricke himself isn’t the problem although it does inevitably make things difficult to build the rest of the team on a reduced team total. It looks like their issue was also signing a near 7 pointer and two 6 and a half pointers just below him. That doesn’t look wise at the moment.

There's absolutely zero reason for any Stars fans to panic. I'd argue that the points scored is quite encouraging. Had Kvech scored 8-9 (expected) at No5 the result could easily have been reversed. Regardless of how they got the points, 4 from Castagna & 3 from Rushen is fine. Move the top 5 riding order to:- 1, Fricke 2, Castagna 3, Kvech 4, Harris, 5, Cook, it will be far more solid -
For me its.... 1. Sheffield, I look at their team and wonder how they got it under the points limit - very strong 2. Leicester, if Kemp becomes a 6 point plus rider they will challenge Sheffield 3. Ipswich a solid team that will not loose much at home and pick up bonus points away 4. Belle Vue, unbeatable at home but will struggle on the road 5. Northampton, solid but uninspiring team, cannot believe their heat leaders will stay injury free 6. Kings Lynn just have to compromise on overall strength to get Fricke into the team
