I said this last December.... It was 1st of April, when Pickering's average dropped giving us 1.66 points, from 1st of may we had 2.02 points, when Gilkes signed we 2.21. If Godfrey was going down this route of signing Pickering(probably the most expensive rider in the league) he had all winter to sound out another heat leader.
