Always said that th metal I beams that protrude around the outer perimeter were a major issue. Yet to see a photo of anything resembling a safe speedway track emerging . Good hot dog stall . Without those beams, a riding test of the track would have been possible as Lakeside ran for many seasons with white sticks marking the outer boudary of the track. Picked up a copy of Speedway Star from Sainsburys this week . Occasionally grab a copy when I see something of note , and the reopening of the Brafield Foxes speedway gained my interest. Interested to see that he track operated as a training facilty . With so little time before the opening night, I beams still to be cut off and no air fence yet delivered, you can see a delay occurring. -
Can’t help but feel the track needed to have been watered more. There was just nothing round the outside on the back straight. Unfortunately the BSN meetings screened at Plymouth in recent times have been plagued with delays for one reason or another. `There’s no doubt improvements are being made but it’s just not delivered yet for the armchair fan. -
