I think people are giving Cook a bit of a hard time. No doubt he wasnt good. He hasn't been good all year and has been getting well beaten up in the Polish 2nd tier However he qualufied the hard way in 2017 and that deserves some respect and some patience. The challenge at Togliatti he showed some grit after a terrible first race he came through where others - Zagar, Madsen, Kildeman, Milik, MJJ failed. The pass on Kildeman in awful conditions was absolutely immense in that match I'm sure if he can get his bike working better he will improve this season and whilst I doubt he'll be challenging for many finals I think he will get better

Let's hope for Workington's sake..this good form and good start will bring the punters through the turnstiles.

Perhaps his "childish" behaviour is a reflection of the happy place he is in with birth of his daughter. Also the laugh and joke he had with Magic before the gate selection was a way both relieved the tension before the race where they both performed brilliantly. They both showed the place to be serious is out on the track.

I thought it started off pretty poorly but as the track deteriorated the racing improved and ended up with some very tough races which only this standard of rider can really do. Cook didn't have a good night but wasn't far off, it'll be a learning year for him and while I don't see Craig being the same talent we should remember Tai's first GP year. Doyle's race 1 exclusion reinforced the idea that sometimes you shouldn't have to exclude anybody for me.

You should maybe worry about your own p*sh team rather than gloat on anyone else, but usual Edinburgh classless at all sports must be your upbringing clown.

It won't last, probably not even when this afternoon's results are in, but right here, right now, Bandits are top of the table after defeating two of this season's much-more-fancied sides....... I have followed the youth scene for a while and thing's are looking pretty good for the future and for me Neil Vatcher is a unsung hero he has really pushed us on as a nation.He does a great job his enthusiasm is infectious and it would be great if a few Brits can crack it and actually go on and have good speedway career's.Lambert leading the way Bewley improving by the minute and the likes of Saunders,Kemp,Flint,Rowe,Atkins, (etc) doing great the future looks exciting just thought Neil deserves lots of credit.

In a nutshell i rarely miss a home meeting and that was as good away performance i have seen from anyone. Very impressed with the Comets today.

Pleased to see Comets having a great start to the season and young Dan making very rapid progress. They have had a few tough years. Having watched Bomber over years, one thing nobody could level at him was lack of commitment to the cause. Harsh judging him on a few meetings. Ritchie? Would have loved to have seen him at Edinburgh.

You would like to think it will. Should this be the case, then Laura would have to make a tough decision. Does she go down the route of BWD for the season or bring back Mason when he recovers from injury. When you see the Comets results on the road in previous seasons, then these last two away results will have certainaly lifted the moral of the club, do you risk jeopardising that by bringing back Mason.

I'm very sure we will come out of this rut we are currently in, expect to see some new faces from the end of May to freshen things up. Remember we only need to make the top 4 in the playoffs! We then all start from zero. No panic yet, not a good enough start but I have faith.

Possibly but no knee jerk reactions bad day at the office who knows but the main concern for me is the amount of mechanical problems this team continually have. Paul Starke as an example clearly not fit but taking guest bookings rather than rest his injury. Fully aware on the earning potential etc but surely you should put your own club first,there is a lot of soul searching to be done over the coming days as that capitulation was alarming.

I think the nature of the defeat and the score line I think it is impossible not to focus on your teams shortcomings, and looking at the top 2 scores been so low it has to be a worry. A massive decision coming up for the Comets, as to what they do when Mason Campton is fit and ready to return to race, do they stay loyal to Campton or do they stick with BWD. For me sticking with BWD would turn them from a decent team, into a team that could well put in a serious challenge for honours.

How can a rider at a Thursday Championship club sign for a Premiership side also riding half their home meetings on a Thursday? Peterborough were blocked from signing Cook previously and had to switch race night to do so

Should have been Thursday night racing.Without the Danes there most definitely wouldn't be enough riders.They have really served the British league well over the years and to stop them from riding in the British league would be crazy.

But again there in lies another of Speedways nonsense operating ideas.. If, as they did, they decided Wednesday and not the agreed Thursday was going to be the fixed night, then it should have been decreed no Danish riders allowed.. Or... The fixed nights will be, as agreed, Monday and Thursday, hence no clashes with Denmark so all Danish riders allowed.. 'Common sense' I believe it is known as... Typically Speedway in this country then tried to deliver its usual cobbled together half arsed plan that appeases everyone but ultimately helps no one to move the Sport forward.. Death by a thousand (self inflicted) cuts could be a very apt description....

Excellent win against an albeit depleted Ipswich team. Would the score have been different had King and Covatti been here? Who knows, but a win is a win. Probably just echoing the thoughts of everybody above, Schlein was in a class of his own. Outgated once, by Summers, all night, but easily found a way past. Ben Barker is brilliant to watch at Berwick, much the same as Bomber, never gives up. I was impressed with Hartel, he got better as the meeting went on and picked up a heat win. Berwick were strength in depth personified with the two reserves almost top scoring. Good nights for Summers and Doolan. Glad to see Paul Starke getting up from the tangle which shot him into the fence at a funny rate, although his bike looked worse for wear, that would be an expensive crash. Would like to see David Howe getting into the points. Not had the best of starts after a brilliant comeback last season. Maybe he will be the next one to spend a bit of time in the reserves. It seemed to work for John Lindman last night. Good to see him with a good score last night and get his confidence up.

Doing a gtreat job is neil under difficult circumstances. Some really good kids coming through at every level and plenty of talent on show yesterday

Our best three riders include Lambert. Bewley might give Lambert a run around NSS, but Lambert is a better rider overall.

Good meeting. Have to say Warsaw has overtaken Cardiff now. Packed stadium and great atmosphere. You've got to admire the Poles, they really love and support Speedway.

happens all the time riders guest for others and score good points but ride for there own team and just break the tapes now you know how Workington fans felt last year when sarj put big points in for Glasgow while dropping his average at Workington

A good GP, few races strung out, but all that was forgot by the brave riding from those who wanted the win. Laguta had a fast bike, and will need it as there are certain situations he doesnt go into like a few of the more successful riders. This year, like last year, I am rooting for Freddie. I hope he keeps it clean, but he certainly seems to be man on fire and goes for it, and all despite that bad injury to his neck late last summer. I hope he safely finishes the business this year and gets a medal - preferably gold - its in him for sure.

Nobody likes to see this sort of thing, especially as the social media can be both judge and jury when it is called upon. Having met and spoken to both of these riders, I was of the opinion both were genuine, decent grounded fellows, just shows how wrong ones impression can be. Not wanting to judge either before knowing the full fact, I can see issues and responsibility errors on both sides. I feel it is such a pity that the whole world is now on the case. The costing of speedway equipment is phenomenal, so understand riders selling it on, but laws are in place to protect both parties form wrong doing. Speedway is the wrong place to carry personal vendettas and for this reason it has to be sorted quickly...

Do you think we might struggle to qualify if we don't go for the absolute best around the NSS? Surely the best for Wrocław is what we should be picking, unless we plan to fake some injuries after the semi final.

No they didnt get it right at all. The averages re false but within the rules. The Poles have been very disappointing, more so MS. Neither are new to racing over here and Woryna in particular has improved since he last raced here.

Just watched the video from yesterday and really enjoyed the FIM coverage- Sabmar TV did a great job on the production and once again i was really impressed by Alex Raby`s commentary. He kept the viewers fully upto date with the permutations of reaching semi`s and final throughout the meeting.

What a joke that is and totally unfair on both KL and Leicester. We should stuck with Monday and Thursday and told the CL Thursday teams who wouldn't budge that the PL teams had priority on all riders all of the time.
