Can we please not turn a thread for a speedway meeting into an argument about politics.....there’s already 8700000000000000000000 avenues of the internet to debate and argue about the bunch of t055ers!!! so king, bellego, Heeps and coty can take a ride for KP r/r Heeps could be a busy boy tonight me thinks5 points

Jensen and perks appear to be superb upgrades for the Swindon team, makes them look very strong now when muesli back fit3 points

Phew came through unscathed yet again and to send away the Panthers with nothing is an added bonus. Just gotta hope Jake Allen and KP get themselves back fit soon because although we’re still winning, (which is an encouraging sign) we’ll need them if we’re to stay where we are. Well done Richard Lawson top drawer this evening.3 points

Fingers crossed it doesn't go ahead, complete waste of money for a Sunday League Football/Amateur Rugby Club to pull in around what size of crowd , a few hundred ?? sitting in a massive 8000 Stadium with a few offices in it3 points

I understand after yesterdays rain the track was literally flooded with standing water yet by this afternoon was almost bone dry. Very difficult task to get it into any kind of order Probably damp deepdown and a dry crust which then needed water but caused the patchy effect Given the circumstances I think Bob did a sterling job2 points

Thought these were mutually compatible requirements? LOL! Will add lots of smiley faces in case anyone thinks I'm having a dig or anything Sad to see Ben go, but obviously off track Ben weighed more than on track Ben. Ulrich fits the bill and I'll almost guarantee he ups his current Birmingham average back at the MPA. (And John, just to reiterate, that isn't a dig. Just too good to leave unmentioned). Honestly, Boothers2 points

Go on then am available.... Funnily enough I keep praying to the Good Lord for that very thing to happen and every night I say my prayers and end with "please God if you can let me win big on the lottery" and it hasn't happened yet.... however last night in a dream the Good Lord came to me and told me what he wanted me to do and when he finished I asked "Lord every night for the last 10 years I have ask for a big lottery win an still nothing? Whats wrong?" He said "John you are going to have to work with me here" "I said Lord what would you like me to do" and he said "well you could at least buy an effing ticket for a start" Doh!!! Disagree. Nicholls, Wright, Tungate and whoever has impressed on their first outing is a suitable replacement IMO. Garcia is a trier, but no replacement for Jake Allen obviously. Allen’s continued absence can’t be understated he’s been a massive part of our excellent start to the season. Last time out without him we just about scraped home against Wolves and the Panthers reserves look much better than Wolves’ so Heeps won’t have it all his own way either. The missing KP also played a massive part in that narrow win over Wolves. I think we look vulnerable here tonight and we’re going to need BOTH Harris and Bellego to actually turn up to their home track for once.2 points

Jeremy Corbyn IS an anti-Semite and what is the worth of a Party being led by such an inept politician. Most of his gang - sorry Shadow Cabinet are so amateurish and almost as unable to organise even a PL speedway meeting in the UK, never mind a country. See I managed to keep it on topic. Even Buster Chapman would make a better Prime Minister and I care almost nothing for how he runs UK speedway ( good on the tractor though ).2 points

Spot on.. Only give out their tickets at Edinburgh... No e tickets, no postage etc.. And do it when Berwick are not there! Maybe to ST holders first up to reward their loyalty and then if any left to anyone who wants one.. The sport desperately needs rivalries to create that much needed atmosphere which it is so devoid of at so many tracks.. So time to create it.. Its amazing how a great meeting lives no time in the memory when played out in front of one man and his dog.. And vice versa. You seldom come away from Cardiff thinking 'that wasn't good' because you were surrounded by lots of people and the atmosphere is great, even if the racing isn't for example, a patch on the NSS.. A chance for Berwick to showcase themselves and hopefully it forms part of a longer term much more detailed marketing plan on the back of it, as it won't mean everyone just turns up again at the next meeting. As has been proved several times around the country when other clubs have done this and crowds just drop back to normal after the special offer... It should be the starting point of a longer term marketing plan, not the only marketing plan.. Best of luck to them..2 points

You're underestimating the Labour Party's foot soldiers. We're going to have a thousand people knocking on doors all day tomorrow.2 points

Honestly, and this has nothing to do with THJ, as I admire as a poster, you really are the pits of a speedway supporter with the replies that you post at times. Engage brain , if you have one.2 points

We've just chucked one of your members out for being dishonest , I dont' think the good people of Peterborough are likely to elect another looney left in to take her place.2 points

Yeah we all know about the rent agreement Derwent it helped keep Town solvent for many years just like the food and bar takings from the Speedway , not so much a symbiotic relationship then. Comets did have a very difficult 2018 financially due in part to circumstances outside their control but i doubt very much whether Town are in a financially cosy position. No doubt they will exercise their right to charge the Reds to play at DP in order to make up for the income they will lose from the Speedway . I'm a Town supporter so are some other Speedway Fans but what they have done to the track is making me consider not going again i'm so incensed. They have botched the place up for no great reason other than to try and get themselves a new pitch and changing rooms before the poop its the fan.2 points

Think you're forgetting about a certain Mr Worrall currently plying his trade at the National Stadium who for me was the main beneficiary of the system, started the season at #13 on the list and finished at #5, as a Swindon fan I had the pleasure of watching the improvement in him and it was vast, before breaking his leg last season he was a 3rd HL in the Premiership and had represented Team GB and deservedly so.2 points

I believe that once the initial order is declared if a facility is needed it has to stay in the same position as that rider was declared in1 point

Meant in the context of your correction in that he should up his average but its not always the case that all experinced riders who have been around a bit improve Simon Lambert been around a bit and never improved unfortunately... Poor grammar in it.... but no excuse... humble apologies... I knew what I meant when I rit it... pity no one else did... but never mind shouldnt post off my phone as small print makes proof reading difficult... especially when the eyesight is failing... Well that's my excuse an I'm sticking to it.. Regards THJ1 point

Swindon will operate the rider-replacement facility, giving extra rides to all except captain Jason Doyle. 3 Tobiasz Musielak 6.41 4 Adam Ellis 6.76 Avarages taken from official BSPA Green Sheets. Is it mistake on BSPA site? Or Tobiasz is 4th and Troy cannot take extra ride?1 point

I can picture the scene: Knock, knock [Door opens] Caller: Good afternoon, I'm calling on behalf of your local Labour party Resident: And what's your party's policy on Brexit, the single most important issue in politics today? Caller: [silence, face turns red with embarrassment]1 point

It is difficult to work out gate at CP, but at an average home meeting there must be around 120 people standing between 3rd & 1st bends. There are also a lot of people who prefer to stand between the top & bottom tiers of seats & several in the top bars. The stand has 2000 odd seats so if there were 600 people sitting down it will still not look like many people. For sure a typical bank holiday will have over 1000.1 point

People sit in the top of the stand because they get a better view of the whole track, plus.the terrible announcing system is a little bit clearer in the top tier..I do not think they would be happy if forced to move down....1 point

I don't feel sorry for Panthers supporters one bit , they should have realised what was about to unfold the day Chapman imposed himself on Peterborough and while they keep paying there money things will not improve , most should have been well aware of what the likely situation would be , but if they want to keep Chapman happy then keep paying him your money , I'm sure he will be more than happy to take it as well as helping Panthers to the wooden spoon1 point

AS stated earlier, why always blame the track?. It certainly wasn't dangerous and riders like Zmarzlik proved many times that passing was possible. Perhaps other riders simply lacked his ability. Been there many times and am no fan of the venue (in speedway terms, lovely country) but all current GP riders are quite capable of winning races and/or not being passed.1 point
