Thought this was an interesting (and beautiful) picture from Jeff Higgott. This taken after the meeting, and just shows how much rain had fallen the previous evening and through the early hours of the morning. The track staff did well. The picture btw is taken from the infield half way down the back straight where Bob Ellis parks his tractor.3 points

We’re already unbeaten at home this season and that one change has made fortress Foxhall even more of a fortress. Kennett will be far superior to Bellego around the Heath that’s not even up for debate. Perfect timing with a dangerous looking Swindon coming up next. Well done to those involved (whoever that may be) who decided to act and make the change. I know we’ve all been crying out for it, but it could have been easy to hide behind the team doing so well as a reason NOT to change anything. Good decision and good signing.3 points

And a 'guest friendly' average in both leagues is never a bad thing to run to earn a few extra bookings.. Particularly in the 'guest fest ' era that has taken place over the past five years or so..2 points

Look it's not happening. The deal is £10 - adult, concession, Berwick, Edinburgh, Timbuktoo, Third Rock from the Sun. Buy a programme get a free drink. Kids go free and get entry into a draw for a body colour. There's enough Scots happy to travel to Berwick to stock up on cheap booze - well on Saturday week they can pop into Shielfield for a tenner before filling the boot at Asda and taking it back over the border. When a speedway club gets £8 million TV money per meeting perhaps they can spend some of it subsidising away admission - although most promoters would love the idea of £25 being "reasonable". Also heard that a lot of old faces are threatening to return - let's hope they do which would surely encourage the promotion to repeat the exercise on a regular basis.2 points

How ironic. Half the forum think you would do exactly that ....you attention seeking saddo.2 points

Go for it You signed him to replace your so called number one in KK We have signed him as a second string2 points

nothing like being glass half full guy. Harris scored 8 last night. And we all know what he can do at the business end of the season. Give the guy aa break2 points

You have to give credit to the Berwick promotion for at least trying to attract either new fans or fans back. £17 is to much for Championship speedway IMO, £15 at a £1 per race is about right, so lets hope this promotion pays the club back at the turnstiles though when this has been tried in the past there has been plenty kids for free but no major up turn in paying adults, but like I say the club deserve credit for trying at least.2 points

What makes you think that? It seems a random figure to pluck from nowhere. Last season he did 10 matches, had 49 rides, and scored 20+2 points for an average of 1.63 (minimum 2.00) This season he's done 1 match, 4 rides, and scored 2+2 (an average of 2.00 from 1 match - but of course he needs 4 matches to gain an average, so still on 2.00). His average can only be 2.00. Anything else is just someone pulling a number from their backside.2 points

The promotion thought they had got it perfect It wasnt.....as Chris Louis said they over watered Good to see a promoter firstly admitting they got it wrong ............then secondly issuing a public apology to all riders and fans Ipswich might not be the best 'race' track as shown on the tv meeting................but its usually well prepared and not dangerous Have any of the Poole promotion ever admitted that they have messed up?2 points

But what a location. A stunning beach situated a stones throw from the track. No venue could replicate that.2 points

Ashley Morris was outstanding again for Birmingham on Wednesday scoring 13 paid 15 beating Danny King twice . Surely it is a matter of time before Ash starts knocking in some decent scores for you boys. Well i hope it is anyway .2 points

I really enjoyed tonight the track produced some really good racing a great night out.Batchelor was sublime tonight attacked the track and showed us what a class act he can be well Rasser what can you say about him a gutsy rider what a steal on a 4.51 average.Perks also impressed one race he gated with Batch I thought Batch would have to team ride him round no Ellis buzzed off and looked almighty quick.Augurs well for the Robins need to get the Zach replacement right but we should now be able to push on and make the playoffs.King's Lynn impressed me really gutsy side Lambert well i could watch that guy everyweek a class act he has such a racing brain for a young man.Lynn get Riss back replace Lambert at reserve they should be in the mix come the end of the season.again like Belle vue the other night Speedway was the winner again.2 points

The reason supporters are not coming is a lot more than the price, major factor these days is the product itself2 points

Ultimately both teams can say absentees cost them points. Would Josh have scored much more than Kyle? Maybe but not too many more if his appearance for us was anything to go by. Hans would no doubt have got more than the 3 RR points but KP would also have got more than the 4 RR points. Oh and Jake would have got a hell of a lot more than 1 point so overall I think the result was probably closer than it would have been had both teams been complete. And yes as Chris Louis has admitted the track was not good so I think the overall result was a fair one.2 points

We just need Kennett to do the same as the others, a steady 6/7/8/9. Bellego wasn’t doing that. Nobody is expecting him to come in and be a heatleader and to be honest, we don’t need him to be. He’ll slot in to the middle order and make this “strength in depth” team even more strength in depth. 100% improves this team IMO.1 point

Scott hasn’t been number standard in many a good season whilst Morris started last season at number one. Morris has no real known form at present so hard to judge but even if you go by last season Morris had a poor season yet still finished with a higher average than Scott. Scott has been in decent form this year which cannot be denied, Wolves have had 3 meetings with Jacob and Nick back, but yes have lost all 3.1 point

I think they had to make the change, with all the clubs below us strengthening up we couldn't afford to sit back just because we are second in the league at the moment. Kennett has been mentioned quite a bit this season and should do a good job. How long before he gets his kevlars & bike covers. Proves how much the Cook signing was premeditated. Scott Nicholls signs for Peterborough before Cook for KL, but Cook has his kevlars & bike covers but Nicholls doesn't.1 point

I asked the league co coordinator about this, and a rule change in the winter meant that any unattatched rider gained an average after any 4 competitive fixtures, to prevent riders spending a season riding as an unattatched rider for every club ala spooner 2017.1 point

They will all ride in the restaging- Poland will cancel the meetings where riders are missing- always done it that way.1 point

aye , the ones from (frae) workington (wuckintun) say the jam eaters are from (frae) whitehaven and the ones from (frae) whitehaven say the jam eaters are (frae) workington (wuckintun). the word jam eaters came from (frae) the miners that worked (wucked) down (doon) the pit and was considered to be the fuel for the miners , cheap and and easy and quick to knock up ( oh eck , thats gonna get me in trouble ) lol . so both towns folk say the other ones as jam eaters . the word frae is Scottish and translates to from (for us posh folk ) doon translates to down . garn translates to going . both are cumbrian , i do believe . honestly ! so when someone says to you , are you garn doon t speedway...... you only have to answer . ... not any more mate .lol see ya,all sometime . keep the faith ............ In fairness I was rather impressed with Rohan’s crafty little moves up the inside, nicholls like Harris seemed rather taken aback by the speed Rohan was carrying off of the bends running such a tight line! Not one other rider tried/achieved the same tonight. A good battling performance once again from the witches, Lawson looks to enjoy the pressure of no.1 on his back, impressive wins I ht13&15 which effectively stopped Peterborough gaining a point. bellego scored some important points in the second half of the meeting but was woeful early on - you’d have thought he’s spent enough time now watching people in front of him going faster showing him the lines yet he still seems to ride different lines to everyone else!1 point

This has been discussed in this thread Loose Diamond and THJ has outlined what is required the main facilitators being a promoter and a council willing to help. If we have the first then i'm really hopeful we would have the second.1 point

I think Foamy would of got it eventually. Its worked out best for all parties as Oystercard had to move on & Redcar have a home track expert. Providing there is a local Mountfield hopefully he can also get his lawnmowers serviced he may even get a point or two on the road.1 point

Very entertaining meeting last night, and full credit to both teams for making it so. As a lifelong Birmingham man, I have to admit to a degree of sympathy for the Sheffield supporters - this was a match which neither team deserved to lose, and I certainly found the Sheffield supporters to be fair-minded and gracious in their defeat - I admit too, that for most of the meeting I thought the Tigers had it in the bag! I was quite impressed with Sheffield's new Australian. The heat two crash knocked him back a bit, but he had plenty of speed and I reckon he will do well as the season progresses. No doubt at all who was Birmingham's match winner. Ashley Morris rode out of his skin and deserved every one of his points. Well done both teams! More matches like this will bring the crowds back.1 point

Go on then am available.... Funnily enough I keep praying to the Good Lord for that very thing to happen and every night I say my prayers and end with "please God if you can let me win big on the lottery" and it hasn't happened yet.... however last night in a dream the Good Lord came to me and told me what he wanted me to do and when he finished I asked "Lord every night for the last 10 years I have ask for a big lottery win an still nothing? Whats wrong?" He said "John you are going to have to work with me here" "I said Lord what would you like me to do" and he said "well you could at least buy an effing ticket for a start" Doh!!! One thing that certainly can’t be faulted at all up here is the promotion being done! They deserve huge crowds and all the success going for what they are trying to achieve! Hopefully another win and nowt to be taken away by the Monarchs. A great start to my honeymoon it would be1 point
