No negative comments from genuine scunthorpe supporters just the usual drivel from those who don't want the club to succeed.7 points

Tbh I'm missing your point. None of the league matches are on the YouTube. I paid 15quid or whatever, I certainly wouldn't been happy to see it for free a week later. But as something to watch in winter while no speedway I find it a great plan.6 points

Anyway who has been watching the Polish league will know that Musielak is the signing of the league. He should easily average over 8 points4 points

PhillipSR and Fozzie the Eddie Wright Raceway will be a better place next season without you two there , I’ve never known so much negativity from two boring people .Scunthorpe run to a set budget every year and last season when they paid more then they should have on a rider Adam Ellis it didn’t bring any trophies . In very trying times Rob still puts out a competitive side and another plus point you never hear a Scunthorpe rider complaining of non payment or late payment from the promotion for the services4 points

you and your negative mate fozzy should pair up - two minuses usually make a plus - Support or go elsewhere4 points

Totally agree with you Jaizer, I wouldn't pay money to watch a match that would be free the next day! But more likely to pay money if it wasn't going on YouTube for another 5 months!3 points

That's as I see it quality racing is paramount for me rather than the results3 points

Anyone else read it as bassoon the gasso? Just me then. Oh and apologies for encouraging piratetwit chucking his inane drivel on ignore soon.3 points

Not just in the UK; I myself have been accused of "white privilege" on several occasions. A few years ago, a mate of mine applied for a job at a university. He had all the qualifications, and would have been a perfect fit. He didn't get it, and they didn't fill the position. Why? Because they didn't receive enough applications from minorities! How is that "white privilege"? Of course it's wrong to be denied a job because you're not white - but why is it not wrong to be denied one because you are? Particularly when EVERYONE has the same opportunity to apply?2 points

How many times do you need telling? This thread is about efforts to bring back Rye House which began in 2020, and which are still ongoing. Hence the thread is still ongoing. It's not a difficult concept to understand.2 points

So true, you walk away gutted if we have dropped points but buzzing from the racing. Most weeks we are blessed with great racing.2 points

I didn't watch it tbh. The standard wasn't good and hardly anyone apart from the Russian riders has had any sort of training really, as an excuse. Zorn out injured as well lessened the quality. I am not disagreeing with you, as i myself find a lot of the racing tedious at times. But if you can watch the Russian final, which is normally the best or the GPs. Anything else is like watching a few GP riders up against 2nd league riders and a few novices thrown in to make up the field2 points

Yeah have to agree. If you're number 7 doesn't score in heats 2 and 4 then naturally look to replace him in 8, 12 or 14 and give no.7 3rd ride in no 6's hardest ride on paper Team management 101 I'd have thought.2 points

Thank you! Martin Luther King Jr. wanted integration; for everyone to be treated the same. These days, it's like everybody wants to keep us segrated by by applying meaningless and insulting tags on everyone and everything.2 points

Top heavy worked for Poole secret is getting the correct 2 pointer get this right it’s a strong lineup. Toms average will be lower once the Eastbourne points are taken off if that’s what is happening ? , Brit reduction also will bring his average down further. Connor also eligible for the reduction.1 point

Can't see Z Cook being anywhere but Poole, what's Jack Thomas on? Some top 4 that, might be a bit top heavy come the business end ala Edinburgh in 20211 point

Thanks for everyone's kind regards I'm not quite sure where I've been critical of the Scorpions team this year or disagreed with anyone on anything apart from the Ryan Kinsley signing (hope he proves me wrong) for what it's worth in Kennedy and Palin you've got 2 riders which in my opinion will up their averages more then most. Good Luck to them1 point

I thought that was actually the main reason! Therefore avoiding the farcical guest position ala Bates last year1 point

And it took a further 5 and a half months for them to finally achieve it? I can't imagine Sky Sports getting away with that - "Hey folks we'll show you tonight's live Premier league game between Manchester City and Chelsea next April..."1 point

Best thing Poole did was drop into the second tier for me. Hope they stay there1 point

I think they can replace any rider at any time, just like in Poland. So if you know your number 8 goes well at certain tracks,,, you are on to a winner,, and I think we may have pulled a masterstroke with Hume. Not sure if it's replacing the IRR though.1 point

May of not been the best teams in the 70s and 80s but as a kid I was always gutted when it rained on a Monday and we missed our speedway when it’s in your heart it stays there forever1 point
-
Whatever the team I will be there, even if we don’t have a Leicester City football club moment again as we did in 2012 , the racing is more important than trophies, at least we are not a laughing stock as in the 70’s, Up the Scorpions !1 point

I watched it. To start the season with a major championship is a bit of a joke, as it appeared only a few of the riders had been training. A lot of the races were really dragged out with over half a lap between first and last. Plus they dragged it out as they only appeared to have a single tractor doing track prep. The final was a decent race with Solyanikov and Ledstrom having a decent battle until Dmitri fell. The season proper starts in Russia next weekend so the standard of racing will go up, as watching some of the Russian training which is on YouTube looks a little cut throat - even amongst team mates!1 point

Im surprised that there has not been any mention of any non League Football Club that may have the ability to stage Speedway, surely there must be at least one ?.1 point

Believe in Basso. Positives *Adapts very quickly to all types of tracks as proven with his scores for Poole this season. *The Danish Bomber Harris who's not afraid to ride the boards and take risks. *Will always give it 100% whether he's first or last because he never gives up and he doesn't pretend to have a bike failure when at the back. *Great with the fans and a nice person to have around the place which is key when it comes to team spirit. *Youngster with bags of potential on a false average, 6.31 including bonus for Poole imagine what that average would've been if he spent a full season with them this year. Negatives *He'll have the odd fall due to him trying to hard but he's a youngster still learning and developing as a rider. I think Ben can up his GSA by 1.5 - 2.0 points. Who's he got to worry about in reality? As long as he takes care of the journey men and the rising stars whilst picking off a second string per meeting then we're laughing.1 point

That's a bold statement to make, when two clubs aren't complete & 4 out of 6 teams make the play-offs!1 point
-
Again I'd disagree. Why would any promoter not care about the people coming through the gates? With gate admissions up at most tracks this year any business would be tempted to try leave things as much as possible as something is clearly working.1 point
