You are talking absolute crap,Ian Jordan is not involved at Plymouth, but if you can prove otherwise please do,don't let the facts get in the way of idle gossip on your behalf.5 points

I think Kennett would have been a second string by June at best with Anderson, Palm Toft and Barker in that team Surely Zaine Keleher would score well at home and probably better away and turn up away more than Kennett.2 points

The Brummies make a feature in their advertising about the bikes being 500cc. That would disqualify Kennett.2 points

I think the possible reason they were so deadpan is, like Mike Gatting, they couldn't work out what the hell had just happened!2 points

Poole signed aTeam within the points limit ,same as every other Team in the League,so don’t know what you are talking about.1 point

I'm sure Kennett won't be at Birmingham, but if he was available as an 8.5 rider, who will score a 6.5 ave, I'd snap him up in a heartbeat. Certainly better than a 4.00 newcomer, who may not reach his ave!1 point

I'm not a fan of Kennett either...inconsistent. However, I've seen him unbeatable at PB in the past! I like Toft, but not a fan of Anderson and Barker is a Knob as far as I'm concerned!1 point

Not sure about that. If he is better away than Kennett then they would have signed him instead of Kennett in the first place imo.1 point

I was going to ask if it was still that annoying Porky chap but clearly it is! Kirkmanshulme Lane greyhound stadium was no better, possibly worse, it was as if you were below the track. The home straight at Owlerton annoys me, but the view from the third/fourth bend is good. Other than those I'd probably agree, although drudging my memory I don't remember Blunsdon or Station Road (that was what Long Eaton's track was called?) being any better.1 point

The retained list system is a private mechanism between promoters and so, as long as it doesn’t contravene equality diversity or, indeed, modern slavery legislation, there cannot be anything illegal about it. It is designed to provide a financial framework in the case of default. It has nothing to do with “employment” partly because no riders are employed. All teams have to have a minimum value of riders on their retained list but they cannot stop any of “their” riders signing for another team so there is nothing for riders to challenge. Promoters could challenge the system if they wanted but, so far, it seems they choose to work within the existing rules.1 point

Yeh, you’re right there. Like Poole. Or, before Kennett packed it in, erm, Plymouth. And they’re not the only ones - how about Leicester, Redcar or, arguably, Scunthorpe. if a rethink is required, it’s to cut the number of teams down to fit the riders available. When Oxford were allowed in, Birmingham should have been refused as, despite all the hot air coming out from Perry Barr, there is no way they can put together a competitive team for the budget that seems to be available. In my opinion1 point

The story is in the Daily Star but I can not find a link on their website. Basically, it says he has got a promotion at the quarry site where he is working & he would need to find a weekend club to continue his racing, as he has a 500 mile commute taking up 2 days of work at Plymouth. Maybe he is thinking of his future for a guaranteed wage rather than a hope full one if Ian Jordan is sniffing around at Plymouth. Once bitten, twice shy.1 point

Apparently its been announced by Peter Oakes in one of his speedway columns.1 point

I must admit to wondering about this. I’m not sure about Max. I think he’s got an English partner and that was one of his reasons for coming back to UK, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Lebedevs stays in Europe now. Maybe Josh Grajczonek could be persuaded to bring his new partner over to UK for a “few” weeks?1 point

If only they had racing licences that were not suspended by the FIM and the ACU.1 point

As we have said almost since time began... Having a decent crowd helps drive the overall evenings entertainment level massively... If your crowds are low then you solely rely on the racing to keep everyone coming back... A very ordinary meeting is raised many, many notches by a big crowd size... Maybe Brum should close the inside stand which means everyone watches together from outside? Even 600 people or so stood side by side will generate some atmosphere (noise), and increase the positive memories delivered by the night out you had watching Speedway, which can only be good for potential repeat visits to be made... If Wolves had all their track open to the public then the atmosphere wouldnt be anywhere near the same, which would be a negative for their club and those repeat visits would invariably drop..1 point

Their centre green guy makes their meetings imo .... yes he has a captive audience along the straight but he's so good.1 point

Agreed But it may force those innocent people to overthrow their current leader as if the West go into try and sort it out we will definitely end up with WW3. The only way to solve the Putin Problem is for the Russians themselves to do it. Hopefully they have a suitable candidate for leadership with a following in the general population and among the armed forces.1 point

Old heads would be those like Tony Atkin who still slide a bike... The riders you mention would be Div One or Two.. And if Div 3 is the most viable for the most teams then that would be absolutely fine... As water finds it level so should UK Speedway... Then build from there...1 point

Just reading this weeks speedway star. Lawson says some red flags were showing thats why he made decision to change his mind. Would not expand on what the red flags were. I wonder whether he got wind Ian Jordan is still in the background at the coliseum. If he is then Plymouth speedway bewarned.1 point

Just need a lower points limit, bring back the "rising stars" and there will be enough riders to go around!0 points
