Long term plan. No rider to replace retired Eddy. Come and do one meeting drop it, and we can have a facility for ages. Rider shortage sorted.4 points

Agreed, Barker despite having his issues at times off track is pure box office on it and dirty he is not.3 points

I think the stadium is owned by the Dugards( Eric and his wife?), but last year's speedway business was 'run' by primarily Ian Jordon. That's why everything should be back up and running next year, stadium still owned by people who want speedway to continue, will need some good promoting from Trevor Geer etc though, but at least the people involved next year will be Eagles through and through.3 points

Trying to make a joke of things,, it's pretty clear ipswich were always vast underdogs,,, when you build a team 2 points under limits,,you need more than one rider to race above his average. On a different note,,, looks like Basso could be an excellent signing,,, and Panthers have the best TM by far3 points

Was it 75 - 0 ???? Fair play to the Brummies Promoters... Running the meeting a night before Leicester turn up is a stroke of genius....2 points

I was encouraged by Sunday. To beat a pretty strong Stoke select containing a couple of Brough specialists with a non contributing #1 and a brand new #7 made me hope for a decent set of home results as even if BWD and Congreve don’t meet their averages but do improve, then I think the rest of the team will carry us over the line more often than not. I expect a few hammerings away but that doesn’t tend to affect the crowds at home which is the main thing for now.2 points

He is box office, and his off track antics have blighted his career. He is a wasted talent and could have been a big earner in the sport and went a lot further.IMO.2 points

And to think Lewy mocked scunny and Plymouth get smashed at home2 points

Shock to the system after having months off though. I feel tired just thinking about it! lol2 points

Really? So how come your management tried to tap him up just before the transfer deadline with the promise of better gear & a place in 2022?2 points

Gonna be close I think, will be there if the weather behaves but a few showers forecast at the moment. Worrall certainly the key man.2 points

Many a club had proper teams but sadly no longer have a stadium to race in. Whatever the rights and wrongs down the years, King’s Lynn are still racing. I wonder how many fans would rather say that than yeah we won x amounts of trophies but don’t have a team to support anymore.2 points

He can’t come back till after NKI as done his 28 days anyway. You can’t cancel a 28 day injury replacement2 points

After seeing Basso score paid 14 for Peterborough, Glasgow must be delighted with their new signing!2 points

Had no issues other than voices in the pits out of sync by about a second. Other that that it was all good.1 point

The point is Barker was out of control (Not for the first time) on one wheel and he lost it inside of Lawson taking him down.1 point

I didn't think it was that bad! Bit hard to tell on the camera angle.1 point

Not often you see someone pass another on the outside and get excluded. Strange one that.1 point

I'm not sure any speedway meeting is particularly important let alone an early season league Cup warm up....1 point

And yet they are still winning at a canter. They are going to be a tough nut to crack at the EoES once again. Early season gremlins for Andersen I'm sure.1 point

To me that's more protection of a weak number 1 than any slight on Barker. Sorry if Newcastle consider this hi-jacking of threads1 point

The stadium was given to the people of Poole for sports, and Poole have always had the full backing of the council, so fingers crossed there is a place there for the pirates1 point

2022 Rolling Averages are calculated including 2019, 2021 and 2022 results to a maximum number of 20 matches (from Speedway GB website) BWD last rode in the Champ in 2018, won't doesn't have any previous matches to add for a rolling ave.1 point

Didn’t attend many meetings last year but went yesterday. Observations: Shame there is no outside line on the track; racing wasn’t great. Team obviously lacks any real top end strength. Completely appreciate that we can only spend what we have but its catch-22 and many may be reluctant to watch a team that is clearly going to struggle. Three riders who haven’t ridden at this level either before or not for x years feels like a gamble too many. BWD is clearly not a number 1 and in reality nowhere near it with his assessed 8+ average 2 points plus higher than anything he’s achieved at this level. That assessed average is far too high given he’s not raced for more than 12 months either. Starke, Wethers, Wright & Clegg are all reliable solid second strings with Clegg still on the up but none are heat leaders let alone a number 1 which one them will be before long. Complin looked decent considering how long he’s been out and will hold his own in time. He doesn’t have the physique for a speedway rider but at this level he’ll score points before long. Congreve is obviously very raw but did ok. In a strong team he would be fine but he may get exposed a bit in this side. Facilities at the stadium (food and drink) are better than they ever have been and the pits looked neat. Hope the team can be competitive in time but suspect it will need some changes if possible.1 point

There isnt thats true Im sure that if anyone of the team isnt pulling his weight then a change will be made if someone is available that is but until then you just have to give them another chance after last season when they all did there bit to make it such a good season1 point

Expectation is always higher when your team wins something , but the real 2022 Panthers team includes Harris & Basso as well they labelled this as "challenge of the champions" then weakened the real Peterborough team and strenghtened the Poole team, We may crash and burn this season but the 6 who have returned deserved to be included in 2022 for there efforts in 20211 point
