If you put on an event where people pay to get in, then you should have organised it well enough to allow the people to see what they have paid for. Not get caught out and have to abandon said event, because you haven't. That is the deal Simples Saw Peter Schroeck on FB saying 'people don't understand what goes on to organise a meeting'.......well i don't care what goes on, neither do i care what goes on to organise a football match or a music gig....i pay my money and expect what is advertised6 points

The problem is when the weaker reserve thinks he's the better reserve or the people around him are telling him that.6 points

"Phil Jeffrey doing a Martin Dixon on Martin Dixon" Love that comment. Great to be reminded of Mark Thorpe. We shouldn't forget in the context of George Congreve, that it took Mark a long time to discover the quickest way round Brough and we all know how good he was after that "light bulb" moment.5 points

Translated it earlier.. They asked him "Who are going to finish bottom of the league in the UK?"...4 points

Sources close to the Prime Minister tell me Newcastle have signed Charles Wright, Lewis Kerr and Erik Riss, so it all looks good for the Teesside Diamonds.4 points

Wot a fantastic liddle race track Plymouth have. Despite the disappointing result for us Pirates the Gladiators won fair and square with some breathtaking racing. I was on the back straight near the exit of bend 2, wow being that close to the action on a small track really makes u feel the sport between yer do da's! Great to meet lewy as well, enjoyed our chat. Ere's to the return on June 22nd, at Poole, Gladiators ready?.........3 points

To be fair... He does ride more than anyone as well....3 points

Someone as to make a change first. It happened to be belle Vue. if Ipswich had made this change first no one would have batted an eyelid but because it’s a rider like Zagar for Allen everyone is up in arms for absolutely no reason whatsoever3 points
-
Care to expand? As i see it currently 3 sides (Berwick, Glasgow and Redcar) "generally" don't mess around with swapping reserves about too much / have a more even balance at the bottom end. The rest give one of the reserves 3 rides because they are required too. If thats the case then why no just do away with the additional rider and go 6 man teams? saves a whole lot of expense laying out for riders who are brought in to make up the numbers.3 points

Im not suggesting anything as radical as team managers developing a conscience or feelings what im suggesting is changing the rules so managers can't swap the riders / reserves around quite so freely. So many results swing on reserves taking 7 rides and cleaning up whilst others get cut down to 3 rides. Its supposed to be a team sport, if riders are struggling on a night then the manager / team should all be rallying around to get a team performance rather than cutting riders adrift and in some cases publicly shaming them.3 points

Apparently NKI was ill, as was Josh. Before the Wolves meeting Niels had averaged 7.55 from 2 home and 2 away cup meetings. That's ok, isn't it ?? Bjarne finished last season on 6.333 points

I don't think any of it is top secret information, clubs only have to follow the minimum requirement from the bspl. If this is not adequate then the bspl should change their rules?3 points

Wolverhampton is the type of track that time has left behind. Just look at the those highlights from Belle Vue to see the difference between a proper speedway track and Wolverhampton. Given the apparently and reasonably strong fan base at Wolves, they should be looking for an alternative venue in the area because that track just doesn't fit in with modern European speedway.3 points

Broc has put so much time money effort into everything this year his fitness, diet ,equipment even moved closer north to cut down the travelling and has been up practicing midweek to try keep him sharp dew to only riding one league here i think ,sometimes when your trying too hard to get things right you go backwards he just needs to go back to basics and try to get a few good race meetings and pretty sure he will come good . It was pretty crap that a couple of fans gave his some stick after the monarchs match because that won’t help him3 points

Could just be hes not actually very good!! Cant see him ever moving out of the reserve berth to be honest2 points

It is quite straight forward , and obviously you have either not read or not understood the regulation. See earlier postings on this thread.2 points

Wow didn't see that coming. Great effort from the gladiators with only 4 of their own riders2 points

I just don’t like seeing riders lock up so much on bend two that they’ve almost come to a complete stop before they get their wheels back in line and get going again up the back straight. Will never look particularly appealing to me. You also had riders taking the wide line on bend 2 who for a split second looked like they were about to pass, who then lost so much ground to the rider nailing the white line that by the time the rider on the inside got to the 3rd bend the bloke behind him was nearly half a straight behind! That can’t be right can it?2 points

Can't believe Ipswich have been allowed to do this... Nowhere near 25% of matches completed... No point having rules... (Or indeed, regulations)... Is there? Might as well as give them the title now.... I blame Poole...2 points

Not as Baffling as putting Batchelor at 5, should've put him at 2 and Riss at 5 if he wanted Danny at 3. Can only see an away win.2 points

Peterborough v Belle Vue and Ipswich v Sheffield are the next 2 on TV on Monday 9th and 16th May respectively.2 points
-
No it doesn't.You can make a change after the 25% of league matches and not before. The season started officially for many clubs at the start of the league cup.You have to declare your 1-7 before the season starts and then no changes until the the 25% has been concluded.I don't think it is hard to understand. In the past i have enjoyed many posts from Belle Vue fans thought them to be down to earth and honest. Some of them though just seem to have the blinkers on for this rule.2 points
-
You have to go and read the regs Phil.Clearly states you have to declare your 1-7 before the start of the official season, from this point no transfers can be made until 25% league matches are complete. Pretty sure they will now make an amendment to the rules as 2 clubs have now broken them.Expect a supplementary reg to put in at some point this season,or maybe they will just let it wash over as usual.2 points

The problem with Wolverhampton and other small tracks is that you don't get any real sense of speed - it looks slow and therefore frankly, not very thrilling. At places such as Belle Vue even when races are strung out there is a sense of exhilaration because the action is so fast. Re the presentation, I hope Kelvin will follow the example of his late and beloved partner and display some honesty about the quality of the meeting because Nigel Pearson would almost certainly have made some reference to the fact that last night's meeting wasn't the best one we've seen.2 points

I don't see how you can argue that if you've actually read the regulation. [12.2] It states "A team's initial declaration .... FACT Cameron Heeps is in Ipswich's initial declaration. The section concludes with "...a transfer window opens after 25% of league matches ..." FACT 25% of league matches have not yet been ridden - therefore transfer window has yet to open. nb The 28 day nature of Allen's signing makes Zagar's position somewhat indeterminate from the regs as written. (Always a bad sign if you read the regs and still can't determine the correct outcome) Personally I think it is a daft regulation and the BSPL should put their hands up and admit they made a mistake, remove the regulation and allow team changes subject to the usual points limit/average restrictions.2 points
-
Bluster from Louis, but in the light of Belle Vue with Zagar they have to allow this change. I had a good read of the regs yesterday and from your initial 1-7 which you have to name before the start of the season(back in March)you cannot make a change until after 25% of PL matches are complete.2 points

For your position to be remotely credible you would have to concede that the League Cup matches took place without ANY team building regulations applying whatsoever.1 point

Regards K.Lynn yes it is an injury now and we believe Kildemand wasn't going to come in the end.For this Lynn would have been able to have a facilty on both counts,so can sign a replacement, which NKI has for now.1 point

No, the transfer window starts beginning of your league campaign. Belle Vue done nothing wrong. Ipswich done. Nothing wrong.1 point

I’ve seen some really good meetings here over the years to be honest. Granted, this isn’t one of them but Monmore is no better or worse than 90% of the tracks in the UK with a mixture of poor meetings, mostly mediocre and a sprinkling of excellent ones. There are a very few select tracks that produce excellent meetings more often than not and we all know which ones they are.1 point

We can make up our own rules as we go along like Belle Vue Rules are made to be broken Swapping Hans Andersen for Cameron Heeps is like swapping a Full English Breakfast for a bowl of Porridge.1 point

Reading some of the bile you put on here and other pages, all your doing is alienating yourself really. You just pick and prod at everything and anything to get a reaction, and people generally bite. I hope it makes you happy. Pot and kettle when you mention that you can't fathom why people have a pop when that's all you constantly do... I'm sure you'll be the first to say 'I told you so' when any club eventually closes. Tbh, a lot of what you put on here would probably turn off many potential fans rather than anything any promotion does, so feel free to step up and be a promotor rather than a criticism all the time.1 point
