I often have a bit of a moan when the track doesn't produce much,,,, but I also give credit,,, and the track staff deserve a pat on the back for what they have produced the last couple of meetings,,,, the racing has been so much better,, and passes galore because of it.. Well done7 points

Oops, I seem to have woken all the trolls up when posting a couple of races. Sorry about that! I just thought that any Scunthorpe fans that didn't watch the stream would want to see a couple of races from the meeting.5 points

Didn't think you can re-declare a rider into a side once they have been taken out? Only loophole i can see is if Wight was a 28 day injury replacement for Tero and then Tero returns and Wright is signed for Palin? That said in the best interests the Godfather can do as he likes.4 points

If you were in the habit of reading the Polish websites, then you'd be able to see clearly that they are just desperate for clickbait articles to pull in readers. As an example, Sportowefakty reported yesterday what you were no doubt quoting, yet today, only 24 hours later, they have posted new "evidence" suggesting that apart from Zmarzlik, the rest of Gorzów's seniors are now very likely to remain. This is typical tabloid nonsense. Why not wait until there is definite news before making a fool of yourself?4 points

Please do not post speculation as fact keep that to twitter is in everyone`s interest.4 points

Hope they've booked a medic or 2, hope the weather forecast is good, hope the electricity board aren't digging any holes in the area... etc. etc. I shall take this one on BSN, given enough of my cash to that clown this season4 points

Well, like I said, if you were in the habit of reading Sportowefakty regularly (maybe you are, maybe you're not) then you'd have known long ago that it's the equivalent of the Daily Mail. In other words to be taken with an absolute pinch of salt. And for what it's worth, R&R's coverage and posts throughout the International section are unrivalled anywhere. Outstanding service provided for us all here.3 points

I expect nothing more from a troll like yourself- i suppose the school holiday`s have started and you have time on your hands.3 points

I appreciate all that you have said. I do not doubt his commitment and effort, I personally feel that he has reached his level, in terms of ability. I could be totally wrong and I really hope he proves it.3 points

Where is Trackrat? Why isn't he on this thread complaining this meeting should be cancelled with Scunthorpe fielding such a weak team again!!2 points

This site here is the least sensationalist and most reliable one, and you'll be able to use Google translate quite easily on it: https://po-bandzie.com.pl/zuzel/aktualnosci/ Regarding the traffic to the International section of the forum, looking purely at this thread, we have almost 60,000 views alone, which suggests to me it gets a whole lot of traffic! I come on only occasionally but from what I have seen, there appears to be a mixture of some who are highly knowledgeable about Polish speedway and speedway internationally generally, such as R&R, and others who'd like to imagine they know lots but actually don't! For me personally, I run a speedway FB group that deals exclusively with European speedway and I can tell you this with absolute certainty. R&R is the most valuable resource and poster I've come across anywhere on the net, including in Poland!2 points

i think the year he was called up to the world cup and was absolutely brilliant for the team showed a lot of people how good he could be2 points

Offside? It's not football Someone explain the rules to him, not sure I have the patience tbh!2 points

There we have it - a perfect example of a troll. Why didn`t you put on your original post " Rumoured"- i will tell you why - because you must have been brought up in a village and you are in fact the village *****.2 points

If he did, atat least we wouldn't have to put up with your drbble!!2 points

I had a chat with Richard Lawson before the meeting. I mentioned the Palm Toft incident and he said he never touched him and the throttle goes both ways. Lawson said he made a similar undercut move on Chris Harris in heat 15 against Berwick and Harris came off the throttle, and cut back underneath. They shook hands after the race. With Palm Toft his girlfriend completely lost it and tried to attack Lawson.2 points

Got to say I was pretty impressed with some of the riders last night. Leon Flint was always an obvious winner, but the standard was better than I was expecting. The main thing that caught my eye is just how good some of these kids are at such a young age. Five of them are only 15 I think (Max Perry, Max James, Luke Harrison, Jody Scott, Ace Pijper?), and a couple only one year older. Maybe the future isn't quite so bleak.2 points

Awesome Doyley, good team performance and good choice of guest in Tom Brennan, he's a great lad and his future is looking good.2 points

It is boring when it is all you can come up with and you know the problem doesn't exist anymore. No trophy is pointless, it is an achievement. Ask a Scunthorpe fan if they would like to be in a play off final.2 points

Hope that the air fence is properly anchored down. Will be coming to watch speedway, not some poor sole hitting the armco or a medic helicopter.2 points

agree, effort doesn't necessarily mean a good track - was just pointing out to Rob that like for like with Oxford isn't a fair comparison due to track time, machinery, landlord etc!2 points

Ben Phillips has a busted Collar bone sobits for him. Means guests still for Gilkes and possibly for Trigger too? If not RR for trigger will be strengthened by guest number 1 and Roynon taking rides....down side is NDL has 2 guest bookings per track so options limited and prices going up.1 point

It's just what the commentators on the stream said. I think they said Roynon was on 6 point average. ?1 point

Foxhall is a decent track that produces good racing when prepared well, just like most others really. Track prep isn’t an exact science though and can be extremely difficult to get right. A lot comes down to luck as well in my opinion. You can prepare it the exactly same way two weeks running and yet have it seemingly perform completely differently both times. I don’t think Louis gets enough credit either for the effort that went in to changing the shape. That first winter involved an incredible amount of work in awful wintry conditions that at one stage, didn’t look like being completed in time. The following few years involved further alterations bringing the inside in, but On a smaller scale. It’s resulted in an excellent shape for racing. Saw a split aerial picture a few weeks back on social media of the old shape and new side by side and the difference was incredible. From long straights and incredibly tight bends to a far more circular and much wider shape. I’ll see if I can find it.1 point

Every offseason in the British topics we all discuss transfers after we get info from ITK's, Mechanics, Sponsors etc. and then some of the moves don't happen. Yet nobody gets upset about it when a rider does a U-Turn or a move doesn't happen in the end. Take the Batchelor situation as a recent example who had a verbal agreement in place with Belle Vue where the info was splattered all over the forum only for Guy Nicholls to splash the cash at 11th hour for Batchelor to sign for Ipswich. Today's situation isn't all about that one post tbh with you stewmac, The problem between myself and R & R is much deeper than that. We just don't get along due to a clash of personalities. So any little thing between the two of us gets blown way out of proportion rather than the pair of us resolving a silly little matter in a civil way. At the end of the day all R & R had to do was ask me in a civil way to edit the post and put Rumoured from the get go and I would've gone back and done that for him. Then the matter would've been resolved within two posts and a couple of minutes.1 point

really ? Be interested to see which riders they were . And getting water down into the base is essential and John had problems on the big bowser and had to use the small one in the afternoon .... and watering too late is not what tracks do so not sure what your experience is of track work ?? as for ruts and holes "all over the place" ?? and dangerous ???? Having seen several tracks in recent weeks I can say I have seen much worse and that it was not bad as you have said ... there were a few problems which John worked on after the meeting till 1am but track was not as painted above .1 point

One could take out a month Subscription to Discovery + for £6.99 and then cancel immediately in order to watch all the 4 matches(including SON 2) or watch on a stream(hopefully). https://get.discoveryplus.com/gb/watch-entertainment-and-sport?utm_source=google&utm_medium=SEM&utm_campaign=GSA-performancemktg&utm_term=&gclsrc=aw.ds&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI3rfGp5GH-QIVm-3tCh17DgyYEAAYASAAEgKSgPD_BwE1 point

Same could easily be said about British Speedway as a whole. Whilst IOW don't claim to have all the answers they are at least posing a few questions and getting people talking. The meeting types and formats clearly won't work a lot of places as they simply don't have the track to accommodate it but to successfully run an alternative to league speedway has to be applauded even if it doesn't directly appeal to you.1 point
