  1. I often have a bit of a moan when the track doesn't produce much,,,, but I also give credit,,, and the track staff deserve a pat on the back for what they have produced the last couple of meetings,,,, the racing has been so much better,, and passes galore because of it.. Well done

  2. Oops, I seem to have woken all the trolls up when posting a couple of races. Sorry about that! I just thought that any Scunthorpe fans that didn't watch the stream would want to see a couple of races from the meeting.

  4. Didn't think you can re-declare a rider into a side once they have been taken out? Only loophole i can see is if Wight was a 28 day injury replacement for Tero and then Tero returns and Wright is signed for Palin? That said in the best interests the Godfather can do as he likes.

  5. If you were in the habit of reading the Polish websites, then you'd be able to see clearly that they are just desperate for clickbait articles to pull in readers. As an example, Sportowefakty reported yesterday what you were no doubt quoting, yet today, only 24 hours later, they have posted new "evidence" suggesting that apart from Zmarzlik, the rest of Gorzów's seniors are now very likely to remain. This is typical tabloid nonsense. Why not wait until there is definite news before making a fool of yourself?

  7. No rule change. The missing riders are representing their respective countries. Therefore a guest facility is available for all.

  9. Hope they've booked a medic or 2, hope the weather forecast is good, hope the electricity board aren't digging any holes in the area... etc. etc. I shall take this one on BSN, given enough of my cash to that clown this season

  10. Well, like I said, if you were in the habit of reading Sportowefakty regularly (maybe you are, maybe you're not) then you'd have known long ago that it's the equivalent of the Daily Mail. In other words to be taken with an absolute pinch of salt. And for what it's worth, R&R's coverage and posts throughout the International section are unrivalled anywhere. Outstanding service provided for us all here.

  13. I appreciate all that you have said. I do not doubt his commitment and effort, I personally feel that he has reached his level, in terms of ability. I could be totally wrong and I really hope he proves it.

  14. Where is Trackrat? Why isn't he on this thread complaining this meeting should be cancelled with Scunthorpe fielding such a weak team again!!

  15. This site here is the least sensationalist and most reliable one, and you'll be able to use Google translate quite easily on it: https://po-bandzie.com.pl/zuzel/aktualnosci/ Regarding the traffic to the International section of the forum, looking purely at this thread, we have almost 60,000 views alone, which suggests to me it gets a whole lot of traffic! I come on only occasionally but from what I have seen, there appears to be a mixture of some who are highly knowledgeable about Polish speedway and speedway internationally generally, such as R&R, and others who'd like to imagine they know lots but actually don't! For me personally, I run a speedway FB group that deals exclusively with European speedway and I can tell you this with absolute certainty. R&R is the most valuable resource and poster I've come across anywhere on the net, including in Poland!

  21. I had a chat with Richard Lawson before the meeting. I mentioned the Palm Toft incident and he said he never touched him and the throttle goes both ways. Lawson said he made a similar undercut move on Chris Harris in heat 15 against Berwick and Harris came off the throttle, and cut back underneath. They shook hands after the race. With Palm Toft his girlfriend completely lost it and tried to attack Lawson.

  24. Got to say I was pretty impressed with some of the riders last night. Leon Flint was always an obvious winner, but the standard was better than I was expecting. The main thing that caught my eye is just how good some of these kids are at such a young age. Five of them are only 15 I think (Max Perry, Max James, Luke Harrison, Jody Scott, Ace Pijper?), and a couple only one year older. Maybe the future isn't quite so bleak.

  28. It is boring when it is all you can come up with and you know the problem doesn't exist anymore. No trophy is pointless, it is an achievement. Ask a Scunthorpe fan if they would like to be in a play off final.

  32. agree, effort doesn't necessarily mean a good track - was just pointing out to Rob that like for like with Oxford isn't a fair comparison due to track time, machinery, landlord etc!

  40. Max has had an awful season so far which has affected his performance. He has has 2 engine blow ups,1 which has gone in the bin,He has had an awful lot of bike problems and when your riding once a week or even 2 weeks it’s hard to fix these problems. Then the problem with Newcastle closing hasn’t helped him at all. After the Redcar meeting he took both engines out and had a few alterations made and rebuilt through the night to get them built back up for Leicester Saturday.(which didn’t go well either).since then he has made a lot of changes to both engines and the bikes at vast expense and has been testing them at Leicester 3 times since to try get things back on track.just needed to post this as I’ve been a follower of max since he was a little kid on grasstrack and a long time family friend,to let you all know how hard they are working to get things right again.no one more than max wants to get back to scoring points.maybe give him some support rather than slating him at every chance(Lenny).Thank you for all that has sent him positive messages. best of luck to max & Leicester for the rest of the season.

  41. Probably me. Doyle is far from the force he was in 2016/17. He is on the way down but he is the best rider in the UK. And frankly Fricke has had a disappointing 22 for me... except one night in Warsaw. Anyway... Tigers away form has deserted them, for how long is Musielak out? Is Riss at reserve when Witches visit NSS Monday?

  44. For me it's not a matter of who is better Clegg or Coles but the whole idea of tracking a Cubs team... a Cubs team that as a Lions supporter I am often expected to subsidise in the way of not having a choice to watch them if I want to watch the Lions in action. If I am subsidising the Cubs I want to see some rider progression with club assets being promoted from the Cubs to the Lions

  45. Does anybody else think this ticketing is a farce. It seems Cardiff is not for everyone just for the tech savvy. Do they not know speedway's demmagraphic..Anyway downloaded the app but cannot find the tickets anywhere in my see tickets account even clicking the orders button. Any ideas anyone ? Been to all GP's in Cardiff but this may be my last if the tickets are not easier to access, they even have the nerve to charge a booking fee when its you doing all the work.

  46. Knowing what I do now Steve you are probably correct... it's a massive undertaking to set up a new venue and it needs a person or persons to dedicate hours of time to the undertaking... Things would have had to rumble on at Brough which isn't ideal and the commitment needed to move to a new track in either time or money is unbelievable... if you commit full time to the project you can save cash but will struggle to run a business or hold down a job... or you can go the other way and throw cash at it which will save you the time element but you are paying for the service provision... It's one hell of a juggling act to get the balance right... so one or more of three types of people required... someone who has a business making money and they can park that and have someone else run it to put 80 hours a week into building a new track and running a Speedway venture for little or no return... someone with mega bucks who is a fan of the sport who is prepared to put something like 500k in up front and happy to lose around 100k a year thereafter... or something like the Worky effort with one man's vision spending some cash putting in all the spare hours and relying on some good will and support from a network of friends... Because the returns from the sport are limited unless things change it's going to be a big ask and risk to get someone to come in for the club now... IMHO... Regards THJ
