I wish everyone involved all the luck in the world and a very big well done, and good luck to Workington in the coming season, whilst its obviously a work in progress "Rome was'nt built in a day" the main part is already done..6 points

No need to buy Poole stadium. Just lobby the council to transfer the lease away from GI who are currently not meeting the terms of the lease agreement. The Poole promotion have enough support and experience with their sponsors etc to run the stadium and introduce other activities to it.6 points

I hear that a Leicester team will also be involved on Thursday and won't need to be propped-up with guests. Or is it just a rumour.5 points

I wasn’t there and have no idea what happened. But as it went against Poole I wholeheartedly agree with you.5 points

Just seen this on the Workington thread in the National League section, and I thought it was worthy of a greater audience as not everyone looks in the National League section. This should be used as a blueprint for all future tracks in the UK.4 points

There’s one of the worst decisions of the season award contenders there in heat 2. Hook cleaned out yet excluded.3 points

Well there's a shock , Poole have been beaten. Apparently in a match that "didn't matter" ? Bet Middleditch went home with the right "ump" . He doesnt like losing poor chap. :-) :-)3 points

Hes correct to tell Zagar to do one , if you give Zagar what he wants he will just take the mickey with his performances knowing he's on a guarantee3 points

Batch’ form dipped right at the tail end of last season which is why he’s now on a 5 and a half point average because of the way the averages are now calculated. But if you look at the stats on the BSP website over the whole season including bonus points he comfortably averaged more than Riss. Similar to Cook, he’ll never be everybody’s cup of tea and if you’re expecting him to fight like a Tiger when he misses the gate then you’ll end up disappointed. But his gating is generally pretty good and I agree with Baldyman, when he’s in front his track craft and intelligence is superb in keeping faster riders behind him most of the time. He teamed up with Doyle in a few last heat 5-1’s that helped us pinch a few at the death last year as well. Never seen an attitude problem with him either. I appreciate others seem to have at various clubs in the past, but he’s had two stints as a Witch now and been good as gold both times.3 points

Main headline story tonight on BBC Midlands Today about Wolves.CVS interviewed about building a new track and saying he's had some encouraging talks saying originally he thought it would never happen but now optimistic it will saying he's got his enthusiasm back after being knocked down after last weeks news.3 points

Omg,,, a Panthers past meeting popped up on my you tube earlier,,,, it was good Friday 22 4 11,, v Coventry,,,, it was absolutely brilliant,,,, it reminded me just how good the showground track used to be before it got bustered. Peterborough will end up with Klindt when Lynn find a replacement for him2 points

at Ipswich last year he proved himself very much none of those - his form could be erratic and frustrating but he upped his average to about 7 - top bonus points scorer last year as well I think. just checked top BP scorer by a long way for Ipswich and also the entire Prem2 points

I'm by far and away not his biggest fan,,, but credit where its due,,, Batch on many many occasions looked for his partners and raced with his head and got his partners through many times or sat behind and blocked using track craft. Didnt look selfish to me.2 points

From where I was sitting - and I had a very good view - the referee's decision was correct.2 points

Doctors have said 6 to 8 weeks will have a better idea after follow up scans in early may. Regardless of what doctors say he won't ride until we decide he's fit enough.2 points

Drew kemp 13+2 from 8 rides from his first 2 meetings in Poland. 5.33 average gained from riding in Pooles main body he would be best reserve in the league. Get Kinsley in for Joe thompson.1 point

Don’t trust any of your lot as guests as I thought he’d be average at best. However doesn’t take the fact away we’re in April and our season is over Hook and Thomson need to improve or I’d move them on before it’s too late.1 point

Yup, he was Brummies best rider tonight although in all honesty that’s not really saying much. Morris was ok and Pearson had a couple of recent rides but the Bears won comfortably without riding that well really. Worrying signs for the Brummies. Lawson was excellent and nice to see Mulford get a win and a couple of points in other rides. Expected more from Hume but can’t really complain about a convincing away win. Not a lot of good racing, can only really remember Baileys pass, but the stream worked well and hopefully is worthwhile for them.1 point

Well it won’t be a thumping with Kerr at reserve. Paid 13 for Sheffield last week and you’d expect him to fill his boots again Monday. Jakobsen goes very well also and I wouldn’t bet against KK trapping and winning a few heats either if he’s got his gating gloves on. All our meetings have been tight and I’d expect the same here especially if we continue to play the waiting game for Riss and used R/R.1 point

I'd really have much preferred 2 home and way in the League to this BSN Cup and it would have made for a much more balanced fixture list1 point

If Ben Cook goes well then Peterborough can win this meeting imo. We would've got battered if Sheffield had a full side but missing both Jack Holder and Tobiasz Musielak is a massive hit to the Tigers, Those two combined would be putting up 22+.1 point

Just looked in 2022 Zagar finished on a 7.20 average which placed him 11th in the list of riders in 2022 in the premiership !! I actually agree that Buster is right to stick to his guns and principles, Matej Zagar is also too unreliable and unpredictable (In My Opinion)1 point

Im a little confused, talk of needing a cash sum to sign a number 1, surely there was a big stash of cash readily available for Nicki Pedersen as he would not have come cheap !!1 point

My concern from LR's statement is that he claims that 3 current riders missed a chunk of last season and need time to get dialled in etc... Why sign half a side that are not going to produce in the first place?1 point

Just reading the Speedway Star coverage of the Wolves issue and truly cannot believe what I have just read as comments publicly attributed to as being made by the Chairman of British Speedway, Rob Godfrey.. Referring to the decision to give Wolves Speedway a years notice by the owner of the stadium (Entain Group), he is quoted as saying.. "This stands out as a bizarre and ludicrous decision to end the tenancy of a well supported, successful, viable club which has a great history in Speedway dating back nearly 100 years".. He then goes on to mention "fighting tooth and nail", and "forming an Action Group" to try and prevent Wolves from joining the many others that have gone over the past decade in particular... Imagine being the CEO of Entain Group and seeing, publicly, the business decision you have made, (made presumably after going into the great detail and deliberation that these fundamental business decisions require) being described as "bizzare" and "ludicrous"? How engaged would you feel to enter into any further negotiations with the person uttering such comments about your decision making process, and therefore, by inference, your own individual competence? When you enter into negotiations with companies, you ensure you remain professional and cordial, and never, ever, be openly critical of their initial decision, particularly when you are coming from a position of weakness and they hold most of the cards needing to be played.. Best wishes to Wolves, but an approach to change their mind based on negatively questioning their decision wont end well believe me... Let's hope whoever is doing the negotiations is a professional in dealing with such issues..1 point

So you'd prefer disgruntled fans to just put up & shut up? When they've had enough, walk away silently? Come on Mimmo. I'd always spoken face to face with JC when he was there & Buster. They actually listened. Whether they did anything or not didn't matter, they listened. I felt wanted. When Wagstaff was in charge he made the fans feel wanted, easy to talk to about anything, it could be argued we were even worse than now back then. Anyone tried speaking with Allitt about their unhappiness yet? He does not (or didn't then anyway) take negativity well at all. Told me I have know idea what I'm talking about (a few expletives) & turned on his heels. He never spoke to me again. Point is, when you try to show your discontent face to face & they disrespect you as a life long fan only so much can be taken. It does look like, with the teams being put out year on year, Allitt still doesn't get it. Personally, Allitt is the biggest problem for King's Lynn (& Peterborough) but it all falls back on Buster because he employs this guy. It may be unfortunate for you Mimmo that everyone's unhappiness is exhausted on a forum (a social media) but that's the modern world. Everyone now has a voice. Apart from trolls, most people are very constructive but it's not being listened to at all. That could be said for every Premiership club to be honest. As horrible as it can get on here at times, every single promoter & manager should be reading this forum. There 'head in the sand' mentality is not working for this sport what so ever. Sheffield & Ipswich are very fortunate they have a 'sugar daddy' sponsor at the moment. In actual fact, we had that sponsor ourselves, wonder why they left us?!?!? Belle Vue are sticking in there competitively. It's not a coincidence King's Lynn & Peterborough are the 2 worst run Premiership clubs mate. Mimmo, this sport is dying, fans should not be silenced, they have to be allowed to demand change in anyway they see fit.1 point
